How did you make the cake Birdie? I don't know if I'm being dense (probably) but I can't figure out how you got the heart running through the middle?

How is the diet going Tete? I'm thinking of giving it a go, like Birdie said it sounds like a low carb type thing and I always feel great on those, its not like a 'diet' diet if you know what I mean. Is the book worth it?

I *think* I already posted my dress but just to appease you Poolie (and because I just love looking at it!) it is this one, with pink underskirts and sash. Also, these are my bridesmaids dresses.

Its strange being back at work today and I don't like it! To make it worse, OH had changed his shifts and had a late start, so he was still in bed when I left. Also I stupidly didn't realise my windscreen wipers were frozen this morning (the windscreen was clear, in my defence!) so have managed to break them. Waaaaah!

I was having a little look at your pics on fbook Zig, you look like you're having the most amazing time!

The reptinting shouldn't be too bad as is onlyone part of the invitation and i am printing at home. Have ordered some more card. Spent last night sticking information cards together. Still loads to go, this making of invitations is very time consuming!

    oops on the cake Birdie.

I made the red part first, semi-set it unil it was firm but mouldable then smooshed it into a heart shape and surrounded it with the milk chocolate part. Easy in theory! We need the good bakers to do it with cake and really show us how it's done! :)

Love your wedding dress, so sweet! :)

Feel your pain with the invites Wendz, mine took an age to do! And about 3 reprints. :o When I offered to make my brothers I was sure to suggest a relatively simple design, even though the cutting of it all still took forever! :p

    I have had a brilliant weekend......OH proposed!!!

So happy for you, Flower! Big congrats :) I hope we'll be getting lots of DOTD's and links to pretty wedding things! I love your dress Shrimpy, I must have missed it when you posted it the first time as I'm sure I've not seen it before - reminds me of a dress Lara posted though! Maybe I'm just confused! Too many weddings :p

I found the most amazing wedding cake last month, it would be almost worth getting married to have it! Not to everyone's taste though, I suppose. (as Laura said it was "horrific!") But it's a choccywoccydoodahbeblah one!

I still like the look of the your secret anniversary "loaf" Birdie! Maybe it's because it looks like a slab of chocolate? :happyhear

Will you be posting your finished invites on the FB page, Wendz? Would love to see them if you don't mind! Bet you can't wait to get them finished already!

I went and picked a massive bag of felt up from the post office yesterday. So after work I'm going to attempt my first mug cozy and bambino bib! I was at my Mum's on Sunday to watch The Miserables, and she had a stack of crocheted wonders, my Sister had a stash of sock bunnies and I was just stood there thinking "Well..I have a plate with a naughty word on it.." need to get cracking!

I want all the details on your traveling when you get back, Zig! Sounds amazing :)

    Morning everyone :)

Shrimpy - I've done Harcombe before and it works really well. Does make you feel rough the first few days though!

Birdie - I know you said the cake was a fail but I really want to eat some! :o

Love the cake Cinny! I'd so have that for my wedding.

Looking forward to seeing the wedding invites Wendz.

Went for a run last night and put my foot in a pot-hole in the dark like an idiot so am limping round the office today. Wish I could have stayed at home with my crochet!

Am hoping to post that to the Room of Wonder soon.

I've also started a book swap with a friend to get me reading things I wouldn't normally and sent the design for another tattoo to a friend who's going to do that for me. Do they also count as creative things?! :)

How's the whole 'Make NIM eat exciting new food' plan going Dinah?! :)
First try last night, he ate his nemesis (peppers) in some very spicy Mexican parcels I made, but oddly not the rocket which he usually likes. I need to try to plan some more healthy foods for the rest of the week.

Going here on Friday, mum got us it for my birthday present. We're in the very best suite for a real hit of luxury. Can't wait.

Had a brilliant birthday, Parisian breakfast in bed with bubbly, flowers, massage, manicure, pedicure, champagne, pressies, dinner with lots of laughs with my whole family (except Grace who was asleep) at a favorite restaurant... lovely.

Impressed to say it looks like I *might* have managed to balance this month's budgets without resorting to borrowing anything off mum. I'm annoyed as I'd definitely have done it and not be on a knife edge about making payments if the ebay buyer who bought our buggy had actually paid for it rather than vanishing off the face of the earth. I'm installing office on the new laptop now in order to see my payday spreadsheet, as it has all the dates the bills come out on there.

Ah your dress is lovely Shrimpy - you'll look fab as you're so petite :)

Poddle is the Leon book as good as it looks? I bought it YEARS ago but have never made anything, just looked at the pretty pictures. I plan to use it one day when I don't live with my 'meat and potatoes and no funny business' Dad :o

So far so good on Harcombe, although I woke up in a bit of a cold sweat a couple of times last night (eww I know, sorry) and had some mega sugar cravings after my run :o I stayed strong though.

Hmm, I'm not sure if the book is worth it really Shrimpy, I just have the kindle version on my phone which isn't ideal. I don't necessarily go in for the theory side of it (food allergies and intolerances) but I do like the ethos once you're past phase one and two (ie, you can eat what you like just don't do it too often or too much). It's useful to have the fuill lists of allowed foods for each phase though and some recipes. I haven't looked too closely to see if anyone's reproduced them on the internet somewhere though...

Good luck with the makes tonight Cinny. I need to have a massive tidy up after the whirlwind that was last week and the hungover blur that was the weekend, but I *think* tonight is Superize-Superskinny and Undateables night so hope to crack on with my knitting in front of the telly once I've done that :)

Edit - took me ages to write that! Yes I think they definitely count as creative Beccie! And poor old NIM - I'm not a fan of peppers or rocket!! Birthday treats sound amazing - I'm off to Jesmond Dene House with the girls for mine this weekend :):)

Oooh jealous of Rudding Park Dinah, it's so nice there! We were thinking about staying over on our anniversary but wimped out at it's pretty darn expensive, even on a Monday night! :o Glad you had a lovely birthday! :)

Well done for managing to balance the budget too! :T

That cake is really cool Cinny! You've got to get hitched now so you can have it! ;)

I've got to make more cards tonight as I'm going to bring them into work tomorrow. :) I've got to catch up on American Horror Story as started watching it on Sunday and left it on a cliffhanger so I'm a bit worried that everything I cut will have wobbly lines from me jumping! :o

Oooh your hotel looks lovely too Tete! Awww I want to go and stay somewhere nice! OH always argues that we'll never find a bed as comfy as our own so 'what's the point'... think he's missed it entirely! :p

I think NIM is probably most looking forward to being able to read his book in bed - he can't at home as the light wakes up Grace. That and the pretty amazing looking michellin starred restaurant.
