I've not commented in forever! But I have been reading - went to Israel for a week which was amazing, then just been swamped with work. First night this week I've got away before 8pm :( I'm not a tea or coffee drinker so can't join in the debate there. Hope things are ok with Dinah, Nim & Gracie?

Well according to facebook they'll be in Greece now (didn't even say goodbye!) - wish I was with them as it's TEMPESTUOUS out there today! Ahh I'd love to go to Israel Archers bet it was a world away!

Luckily we don't have mug issues at work (it would drive me bonkers too) - just the small problem of no-one being willing to buy milk. I did it for the first few weeks then "forgot" one week as an experiment to see if anyone else would bring some in and no-one did so I switched to fruit teas on a "health-kick". I don't mind paying my share but I won't be taken advantage of

Must dash, hoping to get my work done and slope off home about 3, Edinburgh in the morning and I haven't packed and I'm going to a murder mystery tonight too *stress*stress*stress* Anyone else got exciting plans for the bank hol?

I know, can't believe they didn't make sure we would be OK with them gone (and leave £20 on the side for emergencies like my parents used to! :p)

The whole new-for-old-mug thing would drive me batty Shrimpy! What a waste! Seriously, all you have to do is give a mug a quick swish around if you're replacing old tea with new tea (for instance) so why the new mugs each time? Seems really anti-eco-friendly!

Try not to stress too much Tete, sounds like you've got a lovely weekend planned! Although I do hope the weather improves so you're not running in a gale! :)

No plans here for the bank holiday yet, was hoping for sun so we could go to the seaside but not sure that will happen! :o

Nice to 'see' you Archers! Glad you had a great holiday! :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Wow archers. Israel sounds fab. I'd love to go. Was it really interesting?

tete good luck for the weekend. Hope the wind dies down for you.

birdie £20 on the side? We used to get a stern lecture that basically meant "don't burn the house down" and were told to ring my auntie if we needed anything! Maybe that's what we are supposed to do in ths instance? Not burn the thread down and go to the auntie if we need anything. So who's the most sensible one of us here????

    You're the sensible one Star!

Weather is supposed to be quite nice and warm by Sunday - OK for us doing the Half at 8am but might get a bit hot for the marathon runners setting off at 10!

Just done my second Pinecone survey - in both of them they asked if I'd be willing to try the product if they were to send it, but then didn't ask for an address (although I think they took this when I signed up..). Does anyone know if that's a hypothetical question or whether I should be looking out for exciting, not-yet-on-the-market products dropping through my letterbox?

Gosh! *blush* I wouldn't think so but thanks Tete.

Pinec0ne seem to do that a lot. Most of my surveys end like that but only once did they ask for my address and only once have I had something to try and that was AGES ago. So I wouldn't hold your breath if I was you x

    Happy Friday everyone!

If I have a cup of tea in work and then have another I just use the same cup! I don't see why you would use a new cup. However, at home, I always use a new one??? That has me thinking now!

I have decided that my JDIJ is to get rid of my Virgin credit card so that all my UK cc's can be amalgamated into 1 and I will be on 0% until May 2014. It will be quite hard to scrabble around for the last £1000 I think but the rest should be okay as OH got more tax back and the drums money came though. By the end of June I would hope to be just under 16k.

Oh and I was able to tick off 2 things on my Day Zero list - go on a spa weekend and go to see Alicia Keys in concert. Both of which were done in the last week :)

Can we use the £20 to buy cakes and booze?
