I'm happy with that Poolie
Don't post about the parents-are-away party on facebook though, you know how they always turn out!
Brilliant about the Day Zero stuff CMDI'll be doing two this weekend - Murder Mystery and running a half marathon without stopping (hopefully)!
Why are Fridays at work always the worst? I actually just said in all seriousness that I want to slap someone with a wet fish (more than one person actually). Gah!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

The very best of luck with the half marathon Tete. You must be so fit now!
I did a murder mystery once and loved it. I was the murderer but got quite drunk and confused. Not many guessed it was me though
I probably won't do anymore Day Zero stuff for the rest of the year now!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

!
:rotfl: I bet that made it harder.
My JDIJ is going to be the dining room. It's a dumping ground at the minute and I am still on a high from de cluttering and rearranging the living room. I would like it decluttered, re painted and turned back into the lovely dining room it was when we moved in.
I wouldn't post about the party on FB anyway in case "the parents" themselves spot it!!!! Then we'd be in trouble :rotfl:Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

It will be quite hard to scrabble around for the last £1000 I think but the rest should be okay as OH got more tax back and the drums money came though. By the end of June I would hope to be just under 16k.
Have I counted wrong but if you clear your virgin card then surely you would be closer to £13k?Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

No you are correct and in theory I would but I think I will have to dip into my overdraft in order to clear the card and avail of the 0% balance transfer.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Hey Peeps
Been off the Internet for a whole weeek () on my writing retreat. Actually, my tutors changed my deadlines so it turned into more of a reading week. But it was great! My productivity just about doubled, which is very necessary since my deadline for the thesis is now 4 months away _pale_ I'm going to turn the Internet off on my laptop and use it on OH's machine - it's the way forward until I finish in September.
Tete! Have great fun in Edinburgh and good luck, am sure you'll do great.
Birdie, how was birthday fun???
Great goals, CMD and Star:T JDI tasks for me are going to be finishing off all the DIY I started. The worktop replacement is happening on Monday and tile replacement next week. Woo!

Woo the worktops are going on as we speak
There will be some issues with the tiling though - when we removed them the paster was all crumbly at one end. Pants. Hope it is something we can DIY! New sink and hob are going in too. At our rate of DIY progress the tiling will be done by the end of the year

Glad the writing went well! It can be good to go off the grid sometimes and just crack on with things! I hated writing my thesis, did find that it came together quite well though I literally had to break it down to paraghaphs at a time to motivate myself and get started! In the end I had too much to write! You'll get there (I know yours is bigger and more important than mine tho!)
Fingers crossed the plaster is DIY able!0 -
Glad you had a good week off the grid Lara! I so admire anyone who can knuckle down and get on with work like that, even with nothing else to do I'd still find a way to fanny about and not actually get on with my work! This is why I decided against going to uni!
Glad the kitchen is progressing and hope that the plaster is an easy DIY job. There are enough tutorials online to help you and it's always worth trying to fix it yourself before calling in the professionals!
OH has just decided (he's only about 9 months behind me...:p) that the flat needs to be repainted so it looks like I'll have some support for JDIJ.He's tried to nix the idea of a stripey hallway but I'm not giving up on that yet.
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
