Merry Christmas to all, and especially to Grace for her very first Christmas!
I had a lovely time with my family and now just chilling with OH's. We got very spoiled with Christmas presents this year, and I was quite embarrassed as I had economised a bit
Still, 10 days back to back with our two families is quite a lot - looking forward to heading home on 29th!
Hope you're all having lovely holidays
ETA: No India internship for me, the lady liked the idea though so perhaps later in the year. I'm part disappointed and part relieved, so no big deal.:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -

Morning all, hope lovely Christmasses were had all round!
I had a lovely time but feeling very deflated now I'm back in the office!
Did Gracie enjoy her first Christmas?!What did you guys get each other?
Your presents sound lovely Archers! I got that book too! Since I'd asked for it and knew it was coming I e-mailed Sherry explaining that I couldn't come and get my book signed as much as I'd love to so she sent me a signed bookplate to stick in the front! Love those guys! :happyhear My family were all totally baffled (they don't even know what a blog is) but I'm happy!
I got some great presents... we may not have babies but we get enough toys between the 2 of us you'd think there was a child running around!OH hunted down a sold-out special collector's edition Rapunzel doll for me, think he got a shock when it arrived though as he'd assumed it would be Barbie sized but she's 17 inches tall and in a massive box!
BIL bought me the most amazing cool bag too, can't wait to bring a packed lunch into work! :T

Dinah, I am VERY cross with you right now.
Why have you failed Grace? Why is it your fault she is poorly?
You know it isn't, so stop thinking like that right now! You are a great Mum and understandably are stressed with everything that has gone on with her since she was born.....but its no ones fault..!!!!!! woman!
OK, sorry rant over - be happy, you have a lovely family, enjoy it xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxMFW - We've only gone and blooming done it!May 2013:j0 -
How's everyone doing in the post Christmas/pre New Year slump?!
Stuck at work, totally demotivated and bored, wishing I was anywhere but here along with everyone else in the office!
How are you feeling now Shrimpy?

That is so cool. Hi everyone, hope you all had a lovely Christmas. I'm feeling pretty good now thanks Birdie, keep getting told off for doing things (basically whenever I do anything at all!) so am not being a very good patient! Really wish we had the keys to the new house so I could at least be doing something useful! That is really cool about the signed nameplate as well!
Hope you're feeling ok now Dinah and that Grace had a good first Christmas. I was speaking to an old school friend last night, her eldest child has also had serious health problems although he is now ok, thank goodness. She has just started counselling, she basically said that while it was happening she just buried her head and got on with things but now she has 'come out the other side' as it were, she has been left with stress and anxiety which she is working through, and she wishes she had sought help sooner. There are no prizes for keeping a stiff upper lip, I think you should definitely take the offer of counselling to help you to work through your feelings, and help you to stay strong for Gracie. Anyone who knows you on here can see what an amazing mum you are but sometimes it isn't enough just to hear it, you need a little help to understand why you might feel the way you do. Just my opinion and hope you don't mind me having my two pence worth
It sounds like it was a good outcome long term with the internship Lara, glad you aren't too disappointed.
Does anyone have any good NY plans? Our friends are all off to Leeds so I will probably be sitting in in front of the TV - wah! Although NYE does make me feel very old and grumpy as its such a rip off to go out anywhere.Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0
