Oh Beccie, so sorry to hear your news, what a shock - hope you and your Mum are ok xx

"The AA front" :rotfl: :rotfl: ahem sorry. It was the thought of us all sat round in a room taking turns " hi I'm Starnac and I achieved 2 things in the whole of April"

:rotfl: I thought the same! Glad I can count my scarves as I'm only about ten rows and a few tassels away from finishing them (not that that would normally take less than a month!). I'm also only two rounds and a border away from finishing my rainbow blanket/throw thing so AA will really give me that push to get on with it!

  • I have managed to pay off one of the cards changing high interest and the other I still owe £367. Although the march madness has ended I will be trying to get this paid off as quick as possible. This will make a big difference to my dfd.

    Well done ROTE!!! :j

Hehe about AA. More like "I'm Lara and I NEVER finish anything I start!!!"

The quilt for example was started over a year ago :o and the cupboard was on my to do list from November 2011!

Crikey Beccie, what a horrible shock! :( Hope you're all OK. :(

I'm giggling about this being AA too! 'I'm Birdie and I can't get my projects any further than Pinterest!' :rotfl: I've decided I'm going to try cross stitch though so just ordered a couple of kits to try my hand at. I'd love to complete the small beginners one this month. :)

I'm really sorry to hear that Beccie. We're all here if you need people to talk to, never worry about bringing the thread down, its much more important we all feel we have lots of friendly shoulders to cry on and ears to rant into.

Gosh Beccie, really sorry to hear your news. We're all here of you need a rant or to get things off your chest. It sounds like a very stressful situation.

I like that we're counting non-day zero things, to be honest the only things on there I still want to do I'm unlikely to achieve this month. A lot of it doesn't really appeal any more.

First on my list will be to finally post the pics of the wedding invitations like I've been promising to do for weeks!

What kits have you ordered Birdie? I love cross-stitch, I'm not very imaginative when it comes to creating things so it appeals to me in that way. There's something very neat about it which I find satisfying!

I've ordered this one and this one. :) I haven't done any cross stitch in years but I'm hoping I'll pick it up again quite easily and I'm happy to accept that I could still be working away at the owl sampler this time next year! If I struggle too much my Mum and MIL are pros so they can help me! :)

Yeah, I'm turning into a crazy owl lady. :o

Great link Tete, thanks *bookmarked*! I love a bit of subversive cross stitch myself, really want to do a naughty one eventually but no idea where I'd feel like I could get away with displaying something like this?! :rotfl:

The link doesn't work but I know the kind of thing you mean! I like "Abandon shoes all ye who enter here!" for the hallway :D
