ah the link didn't work for me either. It must have been really naughty ;)

I should be doing work but I pulled my sewing machine out to fix one of DD's dresses and I've been sewing all afternoon. Oops. Ah well. It's another project I can cross off my to-do list anyway.

Think I'm going to pop downstairs and put the kettle on while I decide how to finish it off.

Huh, no idea why it won't link properly?! Anyhoo, it's the one that says 'B-tch, please!' ;) Also like the one that says 'Fa-la-la-la-la la-f-ing-la' for Christmas! Can just imagine asking my straight-laced-never-swore-in-her-life MIL for help with that one!

Thanks everyone for their lovely comments. It is a massive shock for everyone. Am concentrating on trying to get some of the practical things sorted. Unfortunately some things need sorting urgently so took my Mum to the estate agents at lunch-time so get them to come and value the house for selling. Always feel better to get things done I guess.

Loving all the cross-stitch links :D Used to love doing them and have a scary sized stash of kits, bet I'll never get them all done :o

Has your Dad just upped and left or was he found out and kicked out as a consequence? :( Awful situation for your Mum but it's probably for the best that there are a lot of things to focus on sorting right now, best to keep busy at a time like this I'd imagine. :o

Beccie - so sorry to hear about your Mum and Dad. You all must be devastated. We are all here if you need to offload or rant :( xxx

My Day Zero list needs to be amended and added to but I was pleasantly surprised by some of the things that I had achieved. I am going to sit it out as all my efforts are going on learning to drive (which is part of Day Zero). April for me will be all about driving and filing/organising sorting out life insurance, mortgage etc!

My Day Zero list is here:

He upped and left without a word 18 months ago or so (literally days before Xmas 2011) and they had re-conciled since then. He said that depression had made him have a mad few moments. However, on Friday afternoon apparently he sat on the sofa and just said 'I've been having an affair for the last 18 months', just like that. So he has been kicked out as a consequence. Think that's partly the problem - my Mum has done so much to try and help him since he came back believing that he had depression and needed help and then the whole time he had someone else :(

    Sorry, big splurge :o

Oh beccie your poor mum. Bet she's feeling everything at the moment -anger, sadness, hurt. Good that she's got things to focus on though.

Oh Beccie that's awful :( Bl00dy men eh  I can understand, it's not so much the affair itself but to have been doing all she could to support him through his 'depression' while it was going on :(

Driving's a brilliant thing to focus on CMD, it'll change your life :)

Anyone watching the Great British Sewing Bee tonight?

She feels very stupid that she supported him going away for weekends 'walking to clear his head' when obviously that wasn't the case at all. I told her she isn't the slightest bit stupid - the only stupid one is him. She was already in a bit of a spin Thursday from being diagnosed with osteoporosis and then he dumps that one on Friday. Meh :(

What's the sewing bee? Sounds interesting :)
