It as funny, they called up to say come get an application form we want this filled this week, he said 'you think I should put a shirt on or just my jeans to which I said 'always a shirt, just in case', went down to get the form and they told him she could fit him in between two other interviews!

I wouldn't be surprised if he got it at all! The Irish are better than any cat at landing on their feet!

If he gets it he's taking it as a sign this happened for a reason and he's meant to follow the dream into nursing.

NIM, so sorry to hear about the job. If it's any help, I retrained 5 years ago in a healthcare job (dietitian) I'd always really wanted to do (put off by family encouraging me to get a 'proper professional' job) and it is the best thing I've ever done.

Good luck with the interviews/applications, you're all in my prayers.

Hi everyone, it's been a busy couple of weeks here. Was my birthday last week (went to see Chris Addison and also was treated to afternoon tea!) then my mum was admitted to hospital because she knocked herself out tripping over the cat! She had a massive concussion, dislocated knee and burnt her arm as she was carrying a cup of tea at the time! She seems ok now, but still gets 2 weeks off work sick then she's off for 2 weeks because of Easter!

Really sorry to here about your job NIM. Hope you can get some care experience under your belt and then get a place on a nursing course, I'm sure you'll be great!

May is a really bad month for me so unfortunately I won't be able to come to the meetup! It's OH's birthday, Dad's birthday, a friend's wedding, then Mum's birthday and then I'll be working weekends to cover some of the systems stuff because both my other colleagues are on holiday!

  • Oh sh*t NIM, sorry didn't know how else to put it :-(

Hope in years to come you can look back and laugh at what has happened and realise you are in the perfect job.
