NIM - I think one thing you need to remember is not only do most people find a career change stressful, but you've got the added stress of not having the safety net of your old job to give you that option to change your mind (hope this doesn't sound insensitive and you get what I mean!) My Mum is actually getting into care work, a complete career change at the lovely age of 50! So you're by no means alone

That's a gorgeous hotel, Birdie! Really getting holiday blues now OH keeps coming home saying "I've been pricing up holidays.." we'll be lucky to get an evening in a pub garden!

Wow Beccie, that's fantastic news. If I wanted to do a round the world trip I'd need to get myself a new OH as well as a pot of cash!! :rotfl: (Although Oh won £56 on the lottery this weekend )

Today sucks. I just got out of the wrong side of the bed, and have been there ever since. I haven't even thought about work yet today, and I just feel like going back under the duvet and refusing to come out. There's 1000 words on the board to do, so I better find a way. Feeling way too sorry for myself - kick up the **** is required!

I am so jealous of you Birdie!!! No holiday abroad for us this year because we are paying off debt. I suppose it is the first time I havent been away in about 17 years!!!

I had my first driving lesson. It went really well and I am going to book another one for Thursday!

I love the idea of winning at life, might steal that quote We have lots of ideas going round. I loved the idea of driving around America but decided we would still do that when were older, now seemed a better time for roughing it round SE Asia, South America and India (more details on my diary, so I'm not hogging Dinah's thread!)

Ooh wow Beccie, how exciting! Will take a look at your diary, I spent 3 months in South America last year. It was amazing but roughing it is right, now I just want a Birdie holiday! (The drinks in pineapples!? Heaven!)

Glad driving went well CMD

Tomorrow is the last day before payday for me and I have £15 in the bank, I am shocked! Will put it in the holiday fund. Is anyone else hoping to find out about a cost of living wage increase? It's my first year with the company but a couple of people have mentioned it, and all the grade above me got bonuses which is apparently rare - so we can't be doing too badly...
