Aww I'd love to come - if only to find out if this is true or to see you all in disguise!
Got a bonkers busy May though. It's our first wedding anniversary on the 5th and I'm organising this lecture with Lionel Shriver on 11th. But definitely up for another date later in the year - north or southLBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Aww man... how would peeps feel about bringing it forward to April? 20th/21st perhaps? That any better for the ladies who can't make the May meet?
How fancy are you Poddle, hobnobbing with Lionel Shiver!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Ahh, Poddle. Your job!!
Like I said, I'm good with any weekend date. Just bringing it forward too much might be a problem for people coming from further afield with ticket cost? Maybe we should sort a date out for London too so those who can't make it to York have another date to look forward to? And with the London meet being months away surely no one can be busy yet?!
If we're all coming clean.. this is what I really look like (from Rhodes last summer)0 -

Well after a few very rough days I lost my job today. As I was in my probation period I've no right of appeal and its effective immediately.
In trying to make lemonade from the gigantic bag of lemons I've just been given by life I'm looking to retrain in something I've wanted to do for years. Namely I'm looking at going back to uni to study nursing. As the regular listeners will know my mother would never approve of my being a nurse which is one of the reasons I never did it first time round.
Meanwhile I'm applying for jobs in local care homes to try and get a bit of experience under my belt and start bringing in some pennies. So far I've a few calls made, one application in (which I have already interviewed on) and will be applying for more.
So to those of you who have a faith of any description I'd appreciate a nod in your prayers, the rest of you please send the good vibes. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -
Sorry to hear that NIM. Hope you are ok. Retraining sounds like a sensible idea, keeping my fingers cross for successful job applications.0

Sorry peeps but I won't be able to do the meet up. I have checked the trains and it would take anything between 5 and 6 1/2 hrs depending on which train I got. May be next time.Total debt Feb 2012 = £54354.11 😳
😁Debt Free and you can do it too0 -
NIM I'm so sorry about your job. Can't believe they can just do it like that. If nursing is what you want to do then go for it. No offence to your mother but its you that has to do the job every day so you deserve to at least like it if not love it. Go for it.
In the meantime my prayers are with you bothGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000
