NIM I am sorry to hear about your job. Did they give a valid reason?
The very best of luck with the care home applications. Big hug. I know you must be feeling rotten right now :-(Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Argh, NIM - no way!? That came from nowhere didn't it? I think you'd make a brilliant nurse though for what it's worth so maybe this is a blessing in disguise (cheesy but true). I have no doubt you'll turn this into a positive thing - heck if I can turn my life around and set off on a new career anyone can - I'm the least self confident person ever!
Excited at the thought of a big meet!! Eep! As you may know I went away on a blogger meet up last weekend and slept in a double bed with a girl I'd just met (who I've 'known' for 3 years) ... yet this would be looked upon as weirder than doing the same with a man I'd just met under the influence of a bottle of wine! It was strange just how much everyone was just as you imagine them, I guess it must be the quality of their writing that lets their personality shine through? Anyway, there were 12 of us, I had met one of them for about an hour two years ago, many had never met any of the others - and yet we had the best time. We were discussing who we said we were going away with - I'd simply said a 'friend' and lots of her friends who I'd not met. Others said they were going away with their 'special internet friends' which I liked haha! Ooh sorry, ramble there.
Nice to see you back Zig, will have a look at your diary in a min. Your aeroplane story reminded me of our trip back from NY - the man in front of me reclined his seat right back (and I'm 5'11" so it's a problem) - but when I tried to recline my seat to compensate I physically couldn't because the man behind had such a large bellyI was not happy. That's the one good thing about Ryanair - the seats don't move!
Off to watch you on the telly now Birdie!
Is that you in the pink coat?!What the bejebus was that massive papier mache thing with the eye hanging out?! *shudder*

Oh NIM so sorry about that
Horrible job people. Good luck with the job hunting. It would be great to get some different work experience as you say and try to plan a career that you really love.
Your weekend sounds fab Tete!:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
So so sorry NIM
it sounds like you're seeing the positive side of it, and hey, it gives you some time at home with Grace too! Hope you find a new job soon
is there anything you could do in the mean time? Bar work etc?
Does this mean you're in Tete?!I think we scared Zig as she's vanished since we mentioned it!
I saw Birdie too! Stole the remote off OH when I got in with a "this won't take two seconds!" And then he made me properly watch it because of the tax band thingamabob. I feel like Birdie was a ploy to get more views?!0 -
Yeah hands up I did something I shouldn't have so this is totally on me. Hands up, fair cop. That being said, if I'd had a sniff of a hint of a suggestion that I had gone beyond the realms of the reasonable I would instantly have stopped. Not that this changes anything, but a warning of some description would have been nice. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0

Hell yeah, it's in my diary and everything! At the beginning of the year I made a resolution to do at least two social things a month (after last year was so bloody awful and spelled death to my social life) and I'm well and truly smashing that target I'm pleased to say!
Hurrah for Special Internet Friends!
Edit - cross posted NIM. I guess you said that to them?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Yep, they said tough ****, anyway some applications in, first interview down. now to finish tidying the kitchen and go to bed. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0

Surely they should have given you a warning first though. Sounds very abrupt.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
