Good luck Dinah, as Tete says they have to at least consider your request - their only concern might be setting a precedent for the whole team to request it, although that doesn't sound as though it would cause a problem anyway. Would it be a bad thing to move to the other team? (Reading between the lines you don't seem too keen?)

What is your DD dressing as tomorrow Star? (I'm guessing Gruffalo but may be way off there!) Sorry to hear you're feeling flat, hope you get the cleaning done super quick and have a lovely weekend.

DD wants to go as Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians! I looked everywhere for Dalmatian print fleece but couldn't get any so I had to buy fleece with a paw print pattern on it instead and hope she doesn't mind!

Aaaaah that would have been my second guess I was listening to a phone in about it on the radio this morning, it made me really jealous! I wish they celebrated it for adults too, I love dressing up!

I wish we could dress up for World Book Day too, I love dressing up and hardly ever get the chance!

I don't remember ever dressing up for WBD when I was little So come on then - if they celebrated it for adults who would we all be??? My first thoughts are Mog the Forgetful Cat or Luna Lovegood, but those are both children's books... adult book characters aren't as easy to 'do'...??

Ooh WBD who would I be? Christine from the phantom of the opera maybe. I don't read that much (apart from children's books at bedtime )

I remember dressing up a couple of times at school but don't think it was ever for WBD though.

I'm not sure who I'd dress up as for grown-ups WBD. Adult books are pretty tough to do... in an ideal world I'd be Scarlett O'Hara though. Miss Haversham would be fun too.

Good luck in the meeting Dinah - they have to have proper reasons to decline your requests so dont let them fob you off.
