  • So ... it didn't look promising 1st thing as we had really heavy snow - spent a good hour digging out the drive:eek: .... but we kept an eye on the traffic cameras (boy, are these handy :T) and by late morning the roads started looking OK.

Set off at lunchtime .... few bits weren't that nice & it was snowing in places, but generally OK - got the tyres on :T and not long home.

    Anyway ..... they're on :j and I hope they make a difference!

They make a huge difference to the ride quality certainly (not as bumpy and a much softer ride) - apparently they're a different (softer?) type of rubber!

It seemed to grip the road well on the way home (and it was very wet most of the way / slushy & horrible in other places) so ... fingers crossed!

Will report back once they've been tried a bit more!

They better be good the amount they cost!:o

  • Morning all ... have been really busy so far this morning - a little lie in (just before 8), then little peoples' breakfasts, my breakfast & a walk in the park .... ran into one of my neighbours with her dog so Maisie's sleeping;)

Unfortunately had to give into the hoover (she's terrified of it :() but all done ... and I've done the ironing ..... and onto the 2nd load of dog towels / duvet covers  - goodness knows where I'm going to hang all of it!

    Phew!

having a bit of a sit down / rest, catching up on some stuff on Sky+

Need to make some Muffins later on ..... and sort out clothes for work  thank goodness I didn't throw away the "fat clothes" when I lost all the weight or I'd have to go & buy more!!

  • Muffins are in :D

Found something in the freezer which needed the oven so a better use of the heat :money: but still really need another muffin tray (or one that holds 12 cases) as I'm having to put them in 2 batches of 6 .... not :money::(

Need to take Maisie walk shortly - debating whether to go in the car ... really need to practice in the snow / ice as will have to drive on it tomorrow  but .....
