  • It was me :o

Went out for our walk and came back and the house felt warm .... 1/2 hour later I was frozen again so put the lounge fire back on ..... went to feed the dog an hour later and when I came back in the room it was like a sauna :o

Part of my disease unfortunately - if I get cold like that, I could put the heating up to 90 deg & have 25 layers on and I'd still be cold:(

Have just had a lovely soak in the bath (part of my be nicer to me resolution ;)) and I was actually in for a reasonable amount of time as took a book with me :)

Fleecy PJs on ... nice and warm (just hope it stays that way!)

  • Sorry folks a bit of a nightmarish afternoon .....

Can I just say first .... bloomin' cats - I'm currently [STRIKE]sat [/STRIKE] perched on my chair .... I've literally got a couple of inches of one cheek on it as the rest was occupied when I came through and ..... wee cat's not shifting!;)

Had a lovely walk with Maisie on the beach .... came home and remembered I had some bread flour on the top shelf of my cupboard (which I can't reach without steps so it's stuff that's not used a lot ... same with all of them :() - tend to keep some this time of year in case we're snowed in as the village shop runs out of bread by lunchtime normally .. let alone when there's bad weather

Anyway ....do not read if you're squeemish or eating your dinner - you've been warned

Thought I'd take the flour down as it's bound to need used and .... despite having been sealed in bags ...... there were beeping weevils in it

Eugh - sorry having a little freak to myself

They're horrid things .... I have terrible problems with them here for some bloomin' reason

So .... obviously had to throw it all out and steralise the cupboards

I've been through my other flour - I'd just bought some a few days ago & it seems OK but have swapped the flour and tins from the cupboard nearest the window

It's the cupboard the flour's not been in  and really didn't want to put it in there (already keep my bread etc in there) as it's really hard to reach the far end where I've had to put it ...... but it took ages as I'm sure you'll imagine!

  • On the positive side .....

I've tried a new recipe tonight (bloomin' typical it had to be the night with the palava of the cupboards!) .... and it's yum!:T (so has been moved into the favourite recipes file;))

And ..... I've even managed a Dessert tonight

Have loads of Bananas to use up (always seem to have these :o) and found an OOD Easter Egg from last year :o (I don't really eat chocolate in a bar ... but love choc cake, biccies & in desserts) so ..... in the oven right at this minute is ....

Baked Bananas stuffed with Chocolate (smashed the easter egg!):j:j:j I'd never have thought of this before:o:o

The bananas might've been used for Muffins / Banana Loaf (but there's still enough to do this ) and the Easter Egg would've festered in the cupboard for another few months & then been chucked out

This meal planning larks quite good! :T:T

  • Ohhhhh - and just to top it off ....

I've burnt the tip of my thumb - it's bloomin sore & has come out in a huge blister already :(

    And

Have loads a lot of hair today  - like ... a lot - there's huge clumps of it coming out :(

Have emailed my Consultant as it must be down to the Infusions - but not sure if there's anything you can do to combat it .....

I'm actually scared to brush it now :(
