Wow Rising, you are on fire this last few days.
Its really good to look closely at what things cost and the alternatives. Its shocking what a difference little changes make.
I am afraid my poor doggie is on Mr T's Value complete dog food 2.5kg for £1.47 . she seems to like it and I explained that we all need to make sacrifices at the moment and will put her back on the posh stuff when we have some more money.
Hope you are having a good weekend

Ahhhh I was told by someone who runs a rescue centre that Mr T value stuff is made by Pur*inaand it's actually not too bad!
Well thought out there Rising and quite a saving overall
I got a bit carried away- it was actually all P@H fault (and I did complain .... several times) as they were out of stock of the one that I wanted:mad: - in the end there were 3 things I wanted that couldn't get - not really on when you've had to go all that way .... grrrrr
Anyway, I found a couple of other trays of wet food for Maisie to try - so that's great (as don't really like them just having one make / flavour) so ..... anyway ....errrrr .... well ... let's say that Maisie has enough wet food to last for errrr uuuummm a few months!:o
I did manage to get all the flavours of cat food I wanted!:T it's the only place that I can get the flavours they like as they seem to keep most of the flavours in every type (hope that makes sense!).
Saved 20p on some of the wee tins (that are hideously expensive but at least they get eaten & not wasted) - so that makes them affordable to feed on a daily basis:T - and can alternate with the other stuff they'll eat so they've got enough to last for errrr .... well ... errrmmmm ... several months too!:o
Anyway .... lets say that their budgets are going to be reduced a lot when the c/card bill arrives! (I was starting to get worried when it crept towards £100:eek:)
I'm not going to look at any offer emails that I get from the pet places I order from so I'm not tempted to buy more for a while!;)
The only stuff the cats will need is cat litter .... and some more of this new dry stuff probably in Feb sometime.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

I will send some over.
Ohhhh hope you're keeping warm and don't need to go out.
It's funny as DM phoned earlier and asked me "what did you see when you looked outside this morning" ... I was a bit confused so said "my street?" and she was like "NOOOOO on the ground" ... and I replied ..... "tarmac":rotfl::rotfl:
We've got little bits here & there from earlier in the week but no new stuff - seems to be falling everywhere but hereGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

OK .... I guess I should confess ......
Unfortunately P@H wasn't the only place I went to!
I didn't actually go to as many places as I wanted as I was a bit worried about leaving the car with all the P@H stuff in it (I have the back seats permanently down so it's like a mini estate - so Maisie has more room - but it does mean that you can't hide stuff in your boot if you're going from place to place) ..... anyway ... rambling to avoid the confession :rotfl:
Went to £stretcher - OMG just remembered - I did go to the town with £land in ... and couldn't get parked ANYWHERE  went up / down / round etc 3 times and gave up!
Anyway ... went to £stretcher and got a few house bits (scrubbers, handwash etc) - so £10 spent ... not too bad.
Still putting it off!:o
It's DMs fault! ...... she gave me MOC for M&S .... £5 off £35 spend ..... so ..... errrrr well I did need an extra couple of thermal vests - they're hideously expensive  but having now bought a few other types and finding that they just don't work as well .... finally decided to spend the little bit more and get the ones that work!
But of course ... that meant that I had to find something to make it up to £35 .... got the most amazing muffin tray :T - which was actually a need as the one I have only has 6 cups and I need 12 (so will save on elec as currently having to put into the oven in 2 lots!;)) ... and also got baking beans - again a need as I was looking at a recipe the other day that I'll need them for!
The 3 together came to exactly £35 :T - I even put back a cake tin as it wasn't needed to make use of the voucher!:j (see I am getting better!)
AND I even resisted buying the really, really, really nice (it honestly was really nice!) handbag I'd spied when I first went in ... even though I had a 2nd £5 off £35 voucher that I could've used (bag was £40:eek:) - I couldn't justify it as a need :T
Last confession ...... and this one is terrible:o not sure I can really tell you ......... I was hungry ..... and .... well errrr ummmm there's a McDs .... need I say anymore
I do only have them around twice a year so will score that off as No 1:rotfl:

It's ages since I spent this much in a day BUT it's really the 1st time I've been "proper" shopping since errrr September time!
I think the pet food stock up is a bit psychological .... still worrying about job security a bit and, if the worst does happen, then at least I'll not need to worry about them for a while!:o
Just hearing on the news that fuel's going up ... 4p / litre  bloomin' heck what's that all about?
Only just managing to keep things in balance just now!:(Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
