Thank you Tiny - I hope so too!
Oh had a wages adjustment last month that we were not sure about - I was frightened to spend it incase it came off this months wages, but his wage slip has come in and is correct - although payday not until later this week. So I overpayed 118.80 into mortgage today and total is 97,186.53:T
Was out last night at make up party, bit expensive, but had not been out for ages so was worth meeting up with freinds . I have booked a party for december and got a couple of things for christmas presents. Think daughter is coming home next week - can't wait, better get her room organised. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

Just waiting on an appointment for her now - but she is coming home on saturday :j:beer::T. Can't wait to see her again.
Got the bathroom finished last weekend, with some lino tiles, also managed to bag a cheap bit of countertop for the kitchen for £24 as it was chipped, but it is bigger than we need so the chipped bit will be cut off. Also got 5 doors from B&q who had buy one get one half price so that cost just under £100. They do need undercoat and painted, but my dad is looking for a job later this month so will give him something to do. He loves DIY and has a boat he works on a lot, but it's too cold for that now, he is happy to have indoor work.
Both got paid today, but our account is locked cos OH took a phone call on monday from the "bank" which turned out to be a scam and he gave them some information - we have had to change passwords, etc and now need to go into the branch with ID - i can see our balance online, but can't do anything with it - so frustrating. It was a horrible experiance - luckily OH realised there was something fishy going on early in the call and did not give out too much info, but he feels like an idiot for almost getting conned. I have meaning to go into the bank for a while as we have a very old account - opened as teenagers as our current account and getting no interest on it, don't really want to switch, but might threaten it just to see if i can get some interest.. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

just got finished with the bank - we were so nearly a victim of a scam, it's scary. gonna have to look at our online security I think. Anyway, banking accounts now unlocked again and after paying last of credit card, wee bit into isa and wee bit into xmas savings have just over £700 to pay into mortgage. balance is now under 97,000:T

Congratulations on all you have managed to achieve.:T:T:T
Have read a bit of your diary, but not all - was wondering if your son still lives with you?
Overtime is kinda a double-edged sword, yes you want to have some free time but in true MFW the money could be used for MOP.:money:
Having done so much overtime in September and to be honest getting a little sick of it, I now have had no overtime in October and will be gutted to be on basic pay. For my wedding budget, I have budgeted £200 OT a month, so feeling a bit stressed now a whole month has been missed.M3 Dec2015 #160 Target £150,000 (BU £155000)0 -

thanks for popping by blueMoo, yes, our son still stays with us, one of the reasons we moved house recently is to give us all more room. He is an easygoing guy and good company for us - most of the time! And his sister moves back in today :j so a bit of female company for me.
Overtime is good on payday, but I get tired too if i do too much. i have neurological problems with my balance and vision so try not to get tired. Symptoms definately get worse when i get stressed. Last week when i was on 2nd lot of antibiotics i was boucing around like a drunk. But we are a small company and it is difficult to ignore when we are shortstaffed and the extra wages are just automatically overpaid. I have a 2nd job with my old employer, but rarely work for them now as it is too much.
Lino tiles went over the top of floorboards, not that impressed with them, they are quite hard to walk on and OH found them difficult to match up. He wanted just a bit of lino and (hate to say it) i think he was right. still the floor in the small bathroom to do, and the floorboards there are great quality so was thinking about painting them
Was at a freind's 50th birthday party last night - great time chatting and dancing. made a deal with a couple we know to start dancing lessons in january - that will be fun and get us out more.. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

Thanks for response - Do you ever think about saving some of the rent your Son gives you in a House deposit account for him? Or are you hoping being mortgage free will enable you to help him?
Hope you don't think I'm being nosy - just interested that's all.
Dancing lessons - that sounds like good fun, and a good way to exercise too.M3 Dec2015 #160 Target £150,000 (BU £155000)0 -
mmm, I did consider that, but to be honest he has more disposable income than us! We only take a small amount from him to cover food and his share of the bills and encourage him to save for a deposit in a save to buy isa. We also have to give our daughter the same as he gets - and she earns a lot less than him right now.
DD has decided to join the gym, so am going along to keep her company - we pay for joint membership and not been using it lately. More overtime today and tomorrow again.. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k
