been busy all week working fulltime to cover for other staff on holiday. It's not been too bad, but with the nicer weather coming i think i need some new clothes. We don't wear uniforms, but i end up wearing the same stuff all the time and most of it is boring black.
No money coming in or going out at the moment, OH treated me to a pub supper last night. We were out last weekend with freinds to a meal and concert and it was very expensive, so having a quiet weekend now. Promised to take my mum shopping for an outfit for a wedding today.. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

had to laugh at my mum, found an outfit she liked and we were waiting to pay when i asked her how much it was. She had no idea, didn't even look at the price tag! I clearly don't get my moneysaving thrift from her. In fact, she often spends over £100 a week on food shopping where I can feed a family of 4 on half that.
Today, although it's still cold, i am going to plant tatties. They cannot stay out of the ground much longer as are chitting like mad. have planted some lettace, courgettes and climbing beans too. Have the family round for lunch today (about 12 of us, depending on which nephews and neices turn up) so doing french onion soup, cottage pie with loads of veg and made a pear and almond sponge. Hope there is enough left over for tea tomorrow.
And looking up websites for cheap houses in Spain. I know where my money is going once I get rid of this mortgage:rotfl:. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

Got my family coming over today too and while I wish I could say I was gonna make them a yummy lunch like you have done, I'm taking a trip to the Golden Arches and that famous Scottish restaurant ! Luckily they won't expect much more than that from meMortgage starting balance 2011 ... £170k today £1.5k

To be honest, Laura jo, my lot would probably have enjoyed golden arches too...although they ate everything up and nothing left for tea tonight.
Won £5 on a scrathcard, and had £20 in pound coins which i have paid into bank. Been to view another house tonight which we loved...1930s built with lots of character and ticks all the boxes. So have asked estate agent to go ahead with the sell of our house...what have we done :eek::eek:. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

thank you, I know it's a bit impulsive, but have never felt this house was our "forever" home. Having been here 6 years we are now thinking that if we stay much longer there are things that need changing, and really don't want to spend cash on somewhere that we just like rather than love. And it doesn't suit our family dynamics at all, with adult kids coming and going.
Trying not to get too excited about new house, it might sell before ours does. But it has a right size garden, a box room (aka Kirsty's walk in wardrobe), a utility room, cloakroom and a dining room, none of which we have at the moment. And it s valued for £20k less than ours...although needs at least that amount spent on it.
My boss asked me to call our locum in for the rest of the week, so I asked if I could do more hours instead...she didn't want to ask as i have done a few hours extra lately...doesn't she know I have a mortgage to pay?. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

That'll teach you to 'just look' :rotfl:. Hope it all goes well :T.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
Mortgage Balance = £0

I know, still trying not to get hopes up too much.
Have decided to stop overpaying into mortgage in case we need some ready cash for moving quickly. So will pay into our savings account instead for the next few months. Instead of watching balance come down, i can watch a balance go up.
so yesterday paid in £100. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k
