just got paid, and it looking ok. Left with another 200 quid in the bank from last months wages - so have overpaid 150 and 50 into my isa, might as well get it up a bit if we are going to be moving home this year, would be an idea to have some ready savings. Have to tackle the credit card, especially as we have just booked another holiday to go and see our girl at end of may. At least we can pick cheap weeks to take our holidays. That has inspired me, must get some more overtime lined up. OH was applying for another job yesterday-he already has 3, but all fairly quiet at the moment.

We decided yesterday not to rush into looking for houses, but then last night found one that might be ideal for us. So off to look at weekend.

it feels like a good idea, but maybe the wrong time to do it. Saw 2 houses today, one was perfect, but will still mean extending our mortgage by too much. I think we maybe need to be patient and wait another couple of years so that we have more profit from this house. OH has been asked to attend an informal interview for a part time job, which might give us about another £600 a month. That could mean paying off this mortgage in 3 years, and then selling up and buying a smaller place, using the rest to fund a large deposit for the kids place. Have been trying to talk to my brother who is a mortgage advisor all week, but can't get hold of him:mad:

Was out last night for a couple of drinks with some freinds, today have been doing large shop with lots of money off vouchers and went for soup in a local tearoom. Which was not as good as my soup and cost a lot more. Clearly, I still have a lot to learn about moneysaving!

was out last night delivering some easter eggs to my freinds sons and stopped to have a coffee with them. Speaking through house plans we changed our mind again! There is another house on the market that is not as nice, but cheaper and that might make more sense. wish i knew what to do.

opened a flexplus account with nationwide to get the 5% interest yesterday, i already pay 600 every month just prior to then overpaying it to the mortgage. so will have to do a bit of moneyshovelling around to find another 400.

Definately going to start ebaying now...been putting it off for months.

april's regular payment and overpayment taken off today, another £590.63. new total is 53075.03:j. Have to find 75 quid soon, won't be too long till we are in the 40s.

Saying that, finally spoke to mortgage advisor brother who thinks it is a great idea to see family house and split proceeds into 2 deposits for 2 smaller places, one for us and one for offspring. So might be paying off this mortgage sooner than we thought...and taking on 2 instead:eek:

counted up some pound coins today and paid them into my slush fund for later overpayments. And hubby gave me cheque from his little job that i can pay in tomorrow.

I had done some overtime last week, but wanted a day off instead of getting paid, however, manager says no..too many other folk off cos of easter holidays. So thats a shame, but i guess will just have to make do with the extra cash intead. And got sent out on a very late visit tonight, so thats another half hour cash. :T

Nice little trickles coming in :j
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
