usual DD for £590.60 came out today to the building society. Had a tough day at work - we are implementing a new system of work and it has been very stressful. Driving hime last night, was dreaming of another job, or even better no job. Once this mortgage is gone, I will have the freedom to tell them to stuff the job! Oh well, it's Friday...:j and only working 2 days next week, then on my holidays.

well work was a lot better yesterday, swings and roundabouts I guess. Our freinds popped round last night for a bottle of wine and between us we managed to get the old camera my OH inherited from his dad working. It is a serious bit of kit, must have cost a fortune for all the various stuff with it. I did get a quote from a camera dealer, but OH did not want to part with it, even when i pointed out it was useless if we could not work it. It was the only thing he has left of his dad who was always in debt. Anyway, I feel a new hobby coming on.

Plans for weekend include a swim and walk round farmers market. Then get suitcases down from loft, may need a trip to the shops as i suspect we may need a couple of new ones. Was supposed to be going out tonight but think it has been cancelled, so may just go to pictures instead. Spring is on the way, I was out without a coat yesterday...

Went to Matal@n yesterday to get a couple of new suitcases, and found 2 silver waistcoats with matching ties for the men to wear next week. They were just going to wear shirts and ties, but these look great and were very cheap - only £18 for both.

Starting to pack, those blooming net petticoats take up a whole suitcase almost! They might be dumped in Vegas to make room on the way home.

Having parents round today for fish pie. I invited my brother and his family too, but they can't make it. As he has 4 kids, 2 foster kids and a pregnant wife, it is always a bit of a relief when I dont have to feed them:rotfl:

Oh how exciting - not long til Vegas then I take it!:j

I've been pretty busy and not been able to keep up with everyone's diaries but I had to pop in to wish you well - have a wonderful time.

Perhaps you need a trash the petticoat photo - I have seen some great trash the wedding dress ones but you will be able to wear your dress again and the petticoats are easily replaceable so don't trash the dress!:rotfl:

no, It's this week! I was just talking about having a trashing the dress party today when we were walking on the beach - how funny! I have only seen one girl do this, think it is a bit of a waste. Mind you, I have my orginal dress in the loft, it won't fit me, but maybe could let the daughter take it out for a trashing. It is a typical 1988 frock, full of frills and big sleeves. I won't miss it!

Our lovely daughter has made us a video with lots of old photos of us set to some great music as a present for our anniversary. It has made me quite emotional. Where did the years go? :). (also, very impressed with the moneysaving side). It is the best pressie ever and brought back loads of memories.

had a meal out tonight with all the vouchers we have won at the pub quiz, about £50 of food and drink. Went to the toilet and noticed someone had dropped 5p in the bowl. Now I have been known to pick up pennies off the road, but could not bring myself to take one outof the toiletbowl. My mortgage might be 5p higher, but I have SOME dignity! :rotfl:

Off to airport tomorrow, then flight to vegas on Thursday. We are all getting excited now...

    I am on holiday...:j:j

OH brought me breakfast in bed and I got a double yolker egg - how :money: moneysaving is that?

Train to airport today, with a packed lunch. This will be the last moneysaving done for the next few days. Only going to Vegas once in my life probably, so don't mind splashing the cash for once.

    Have a great time :)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
