A hubby free night every now and then is bliss.......0
-
Fab diary - I have just read it cover to cover!!
Am very envious about Vegas - OH and I are not married and no intentions to but every now and again I wind him up about my Vegas wedding plans and they include Elvis saying ahh hah ha a lot, curling his lip, swivelling his hips and singing this time the girl is gonna stay! Oh and I had a 50s style Vivienne of Holloway dress in my vision too - are we twins separated at birth!
25 years is a great achievement and you should be very proud. Sod the OP and have a wonderful time.
I will subscribe to your diary so keep us updated on your Vegas adventure.0 -
thank you mamamags, I love having visitors drop in. The Elvis thing is my hubby's dream, as is the convertible caddy that we've booked to drive us around. I was thinking of a romantic service, but laughter is more his style and it reflects us better than being soppy.
The cadillac is pink though - he is colour blind, he wont notice!
Viviene of Holloway!!! i have spent hours on that website, and nearly ordered a dress this weekend. I still havn't ruled it out to be honest. I love the grace wrap circle dress, maybe in red. I found another company who are just starting out and there stuff is lovely too, but quite a bit cheaper - lady vintage. Maybe I should order them both? You are supposed to be encouraging me to save, not spend more...
I like the elvis suggestion. Elvis is going to sing two songs, and not being a big fan, not sure which ones would be suitable. Maybe Jailhouse rock? :rotfl: Any other idea?. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

I'm very jealous!!
Kirstypark I hope you will be having a group photo taken at the welcome to Vegas sign.:j
The pink caddy sounds great - my OH would have kittens at the colour glad yours is colour blind! I'm not a huge Elvis fan and OH's favourite Elvis song is Suspicious Minds - not very fitting for wedding:rotfl:
The song I like starts " I just can't help believing when she puts her hand in mine.......this time the girl is going to stay for more than just a day - or something quite like that(I'm not good with lyrics!!) Anyway I'm more than happy to lend you my tune for your special day!! Am away to google that song now as it will drive me potty!!

just had a great evening singing to all the old songs on youtube - i was not a big fan, but he was lush, wasn't he? Thanks for the offer of your song, mamamags, but think we might go for burning love and the wonder of you.
Kodagirl, I have heard that the vivienne dresses are very small made. I am not sure they come in my size!. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

got a refund for the dress i sent back because it was too tight and took £20 in pound coins into the bank today, so another £60 to the slush fund.
Several girls at work got flowers today, I, of course, have been married about 79 years so was not expecting anything. but did get a box of chocs - he knows the way to my heart - cannot eat red roses!
Just been down to my mum, she had to get some painkillers today from doctor and they have made her very sick, they are far too strong for her. She has settled now, after vomiting all evening, so hope she gets a good night sleep.. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

The Wonder of You - that's a great choice for a wedding song.
He really was beautiful wasn't he -well the early years! Would have loved to see him in Vegas. Do you have plans to see a show while you are there?0
