son paid me rent today, so another £200 to the morgage, and all that work means I did not have time to go shopping at all this week, so banked another 30 quid into my slush fund. Also made my first payment towards the tax bill, so feel better knowing thats getting reduced too

had a long walk this morning beside the sea, was a beautiful day, can feel spring round the corner...

TGIF...toad in the hole for tea using some slightly out of date sausages and onion gravy, very moneysaving meal:A

Hello, glad you are back your holidays. I dont really feel guilty about vegas - after 25 years of managing to stay married i reckon we both deserve a treat. What a cheek your workmate has - were you mad at her?

Anyway, cant sleep. Years of night shifts mean my sleep pattern is sometimes still rubbish, even though it has been about 4 months since I last did one. Just logged on and worked out my daily interest has reduced by 13p since Jan this year...thats 13p of my money the building society are not getting today. mmm, what to spend it on, I wonder?:rotfl:

We are going out tonight with the kids as we are all home for once. Think we might go to the pictures and maybe a meal. Feels like ages since we did anything together and it is only another 6 weeks or so till my wee girl heads off to Benidorm to work for the season :(

Anyway,i must admit,it has given my 'diet' a bit of a kick start!!:rotfl:

So come on,i'm in suspense,...... what are you going to spend that 13p on?!!

13p...why, I overpaid it, of course!

When i lie down my tummy goes flat too, but my boobs end up under my armpits! At least we can diet and change, she will always be stupid.

We saw the impossible, with Ewan Mcgregor. It. was ok, DD was sobbing, but the rest of us found it a bit tedious. We get some funny looks buying the tickets, DS has an unlimited card, but he also has disability living allowance which entitles him to a free carer (his sister), then hubby had a tesco voucher and I paid student prices as am matriculated on a masters course. So family of 4 adults paid just 5.20 in total. Bargain. Then had a fish supper on the way home.

Not sure what to do today, there is white stuff coming from the sky again.

It snowed here a bit too, luckily it didnt settle, had enough of the white stuff, the best thing about it is it makes my garden look pretty!!!:D

I'm envious, I went to the cinema on Friday, just me and DS - he got a teen ticket (much the same as child price) and I got a student ticket and that came to £15!

it is expensive, but makes a great night out for us, ds has autism and does not socialise much, but loves going to the movies. I usually trade in my tesco vouchers for cineworld tickets and have signed up to seefilmfirst and managed to get a few free showings from that. The student thing is a bit cheeky - i am on a masters course, but not doing any modules this year as have already done them all as stand alone modules, they matriculated me anyway and sent me my student card, I feel a bit of a fraud using it, but then figure i have paid lots for my education so far, might as well get some benefit.

got 9.05 from topcashb&ck so into the slush fund with it.

oh definately, as I say, it has cost me a fortune paying for various modules and due to start again after the summer.

overpaid another 200 this morning from my daughter paying some rent money..gonna miss her when she leaves next month (and her rent:rotfl:).

I did break the tenner in my purse today however. Nipped into the shop and got 2 magazines (how extravagent) and some cheap rolls with some not so cheap pate. Couldnt be bothered cooking and just me and kids in tonight, so freezer soup and rolls for tea. It's nice and peaceful here without hubby who usually has the telly on all night. I am sure I will eventually miss him...:rotfl:
