Morning All :hello:
So much for my lie in!! nevermind lots to do today.
DS is out with my exOH later so that'll give me chance to clean to house and do the ironing. Making the most of today in terms of getting my washing dry as they are forecasting rain for tomorrow.
I also need to go shopping and to visit my sister & BIL today, its BIL birthday tomorrow so need to pop round with his card & gift.
I'm sure theres something else I need to be doing today but can't remember at moment!! :rotfl:
Anyway, have a good day to anyone that's celebrating and hugs to those that want/need them.

Morning Guys!
Feeling better today, so thats good news:D
Well, I have just had a heart attack!! Got our renewal for car insurance this morning and last year we paid £300 with Barclays as they price matched and gave us £50 back as their price was much dearer but had to honour it. Its a new car and OH has 7+ years no claims etc and has been driving since 17 with no accidents...the new price for this year is £668:eek:       !!!!!!!!....sorry I dont normally swear but that is ridiculous! Ive just used confused.com and have already been quoted £357, which is loads cheaper...anyway...no need to say that we WONT be going with Barclays:rotfl:
WM is on, DW needs going on in a bit and toilet cleaned. House is pretty clean and tidy. Clothes will be hung out once spun.
DD starts her acting/dancing/singing classes this afternoon 1-4, so its going to be a peaceful one:D Have friends over for dinner so will crack on with making the Spagbol as I think it tastes better after being made, cooled down then re-heated.
OH & I used the voucher code for PhotoBox and got 40 prints each for £1.50 inc postage and they are lovely. Loads of the holidays, odd ones that I wanted and some lovely ones of sisters 30th and DD's 1st day at secondary school.
Anyway, I have to go and eat.
Hugs to all and thanks for all the nice comments.

Morning,
Pokes nose out window, it looks a sunny day. :j Got a phone call from Scotland last night, they said it's been cold up there this last week or so. Glad I missed it.We are going out shortly. Need to pack our lunch first and shower.
Kyle That sounds like a good idea, once you get your budget sorted I found you are a lot happier inside knowing that you are doing the best you can. My birthday is in January & I often get Xmas & b'day presents combined :mad:so I know the feeling.
I can't remember whose son is auditioning for XFactor but good luck with it. I hope he gets through.
I hope your DD gets better Mrs Mix. It seems to be doing the rounds atm. My niece felt exactly like that yesterday. She's still asleep atm so don't know how she is now.
Hope you all have a lovely day & ((((((hugs)))))) for those who need them. ByeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning :hello:
PP, I had singing and dancing lessons when I was younger, I passed exams and won awards for dancing :j Your DD will LOVE it
Master tru has a very neat hole in the back of his tooth, right down into his gum, to allow the poison to drain out. He went to his friends house for a couple of hours yesterday, he rang me up after about an hour to say 'I'm eating Super Noodles and they're LUSH"That's the first thing he's eaten in about 3 days.
I woke up with an urge to sort things LOL. Haven't decided where to start yet though.Bulletproof0 -
Morning all
This is my first time posting on the Daily thread - something new every day!
No plans for today yet (unheard of for a Saturday!) but sitting here contemplating a cuppa and watching DS (6 months) playing to himself. Sometimes I enjoy taking some time out, doing nothing and just watching him. He'll be 18 before I know it....
tru - if you're really in the mood to sort some stuff out, want to come up to Scotland and sort out my house? Please? I'll even make you tea.
Have a great weekend all - hope it's a money saving one for us allSmall OPs are better than no OPs

Good morning everyone and (((hugs))) to anyone who needs one. Also, welcome Tartan Mum :hello:
Well, another morning where I just cannot lie in bed. I may force myself to go back to bed later as I find that I am falling asleep on the sofa at around 8-9 pm.
Had the urge to go browsing the shops but made myself sit down and go through my bank accounts thoroughly- transferring money, working out how much is needed in the bills account, etc. So, now the urge has left me. :rotfl:
Pen-Pen the same thing happened to me last year. The cost more than doubled. So, like you, I went elsewhere. I did another price-beating deal so I expect the same horror in September.
Plans today are to deep clean the bathroom, sweep the staircase (why do mens socks manufacturers make socks that leave a little black trail of fluff everywhere they walk?), clean the kitchen and do some batch cooking.
No sunshine here today so I won't be tending to the plants.
Have a lovely Saturday, whatever you are doing. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
