    Morning all!

OldMcDonald I get my hay fever tablets (Zirtek) on prescription. My GP will only give me 30 per script, presumably because they are quite expensive, but I know that people on other hay fever tablets get 3 or 6 months in one go. Is that an option for you?

Aime Good luck with the lunch!

PenPin OMG, how can they justify such a hike???? I'm sure you'll get a much better deal. Glad to hear you're feeling better. Oh, why don't you put a WANTED post on Freecycle, as someone may have one but not have thought about Freecycling it.

TartanMum and Verynewmoneysaver Hello, and welcome!

Crazychick Emma, that's so not like you. You are obviously feeling the strain....You obviously feel really bad about it. I'm sorry your ex is refusing to accept your apology. Maybe leave it a while and then try again when things have calmed down - just tell him what you told us: you could have bitten your own tongue out and you love his dad to bits..

Mel could you ring the BT operator from your mobile and tell them what has happened. They should be able to disconnect the call.

Catowen <hug> I dont' have anything helpful to say. Except that I have a friend who is petite, shapely, blond, very pretty, very bubbly...and she had exactly the same problem. Men though she was out of their league. In the end, she had to do the asking out if she met a bloke she liked. Maybe you could try that? Or enlist the help of one of your trusted friends?

<hugs> to those (and the misses/masters) who aren't feeling great today, and apologies to anyone I've missed.

Well had a bit of a panic this morning. We have a memory foam mattress, and I decided that. as it was a nice day, I was going to wash the cover. Got it off, nipped downstairs, sprayed the stains, and then discovered it wouldn't fit in my washing machine. Of course, you can't let the Vanish (or whatever it was) dry. So, I had to pull on a pairt of jeans and a top and drive to the nearest launderette.

Came home while it was washing, showered etc, opened brand new bedding to find a note in there insisting it had to be washed before being used. Grrrrrr. Put it on to wash, and then told DH he would have to come and get the mattress cover from the launderette it as I had an appointment at the family planning clinic in a different town. DH doesn't know where launderette is (how surprising!), so I had to lead him there.

Still, not a big queue at FPC, so was home in time to make poached eggs and coffee for brunch. WM just finishing third lot of washing, DW emptied and refilled, DH busy potting up all the seedlings.

Not planning to do ANY housework today.

    Have a good day everyone

Right I will try it this way.
Late getting up due to OH fidgeting for England during the night. Got up around 4.30 and made tea, then slept really heavily, so woke up feeling like nothing on earth. Managed to get myself out of my pit at 10am. Have been up into the loft to put more stuff up, its all around the opening into the loft, the roof slopes very steeply, so there is only a relatively small area where we can store stuff.
I am off to visit my friend we house sit for, Have not seen her for 6 months, she has had her kitchen altered and also some work done in what we call the Jane Austin bedroom……long story involving the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.
Quite a bright, but cool day, think I made need a jumper for my little trip.
Cat: It is quite common to suffer from depression, I have just gone through 3 months of feeling very down, due to the problems we have had with OH’s son, but its over now and we are gradually getting the apartment how we want it and the depression is beginning to clear. Its very hard I know when you have to cope on your own…..keep at it girl, we are all there for you.
Must go OG has just put lunch on the table……see ya’ll later………..
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

well hope you all have good days i'm off to see what i can find in the wardrob.

    tick xoxo

tickb26 - Hows it going? Have you found anything to wear yet? I sympathise, I have only 'mum' clothes so feel really under-dressed when I go out, but can't afford to have 'going out' clothes so always hate trying to get something together. Hope you found something that makes you feel good :)

verynewmoneysaver - Hello  Welcome to the thread

catowen - I've tried a couple of times to start a sentence to say something I hope may help, but keep on deleting and starting again as I can't say in words what I feel I want to (if that makes sense:o ) Hugs to you, and wish I could say something to help.

I'm supposed to be up in the boys room building their beds
I'm messing about wasting time on the internet
*sigh* Wonder if I can talk DH into putting up the beds once he has finished the lawn? Would that be working him too hard? I could always offer a cuppa:D

After the great start to the day housework -wise I just feel like slobbing out and being lazy. This is the fourth time I've come back into MSE today :)

old_McDonald I am sure you can find a way to tempt your DH into building the beds  :rotfl:

Zirtek - yes I have it on repeat prescription as I react badly to bites and sometimes get prickly heat bad. Its given me as cetirizine hydrochloride 10mg. Dunno if that is the same one for hayfever 1 a day?

So it may be cheaper as that, but if not if you have any friends going to Spain, it is much cheaper in their pharmacists (as is everything) I got some anti-biotics to carry on the course when I was over there €4,10!

    Hope this helps someone.

n.b. I know this isn't cross-stitching, but decided to put a full budget together to know exact what I have to pay out! So far I'm in green!:j

Ok, couldn't stay away, so I thought I would just sneek back and see what everybody else has been up to :o Gosh you have all done so much  I haven't really acheived much but I keep telling myself it is because its all little bits and pieces?

catowen (((((hugs))))). I have been told the same thing  I'm sure we are both very nice people really and not at all scary

csarina I have the same problem in my loft. Do you live in a dormer? Everytime I declutter, which is today (and probably the rest of the week), the loft is the first stop. But it just not big enough for my rubbish :rotfl: Think that is telling me something!

    Anyway back to decluttering!

racy any sign of the parrot yet? he was a handsome bird, the violas were such a dark purple they were lovely, sorry to hear about the moorhen

No, nothing this morning, although I thought I heard it earlier. I hate it when I don't know what happens (I'm way to [STRIKE]nosy[/STRIKE] curious)

I've been wondering why the normaly quiet cormorants have been bobbing up and down and beating their wings in the water so much over the last week. Last night I found out, I saw one dive and waited to see if it came up with the usual small fish. It really churned up the water when it came up, (they are usually smooth, graceful divers) so that was odd. Then I saw in its beak a huge eel! the thing was massive. After much diving, jiggling about and bashing the bird manamged to turn the eel head first then, fast as lightning, swallowed it whole, the eel was longer than the cormorant's throat so the bird was thrashing about and lifting itself up to as near vertical as it could get, trying to get the eel down. Amazing! And mystery solved. :D

I've been tidying up a small set of draws in my bedroom, used to keep jewelry, makeup and stuff in and found the gold bracelet watch and entwined heart and horseshoe earings I had for my wedding 30+ years ago (it didn't last long :o ) As I've not worn them for about 25+ years I'm going to go straight round to the local shop and sell them. Thought about ebaying them but that will give me time to procrastinate and I've hoarded them long enough! If I can find the flashy wedding rings we had they will go the same way, for scrap gold! I've kept my mums cheapo wedding ring - thats a "real" one. icon7.gif

Pink, there are 2 newly hatched chicks in one of the neighbouring coot nests :D

    Time I stopped procrastinating

My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

    Welcome jet77 :hello:

Dice an apple to use instead of the raisins in B&B pudding? Pop it in a bit of lemon juice as you dice to stop it browning. Or make breadcrumbs and freeze them ready for when they are needed?

Grrrr, I just received some lingonberry plants ordered for me as a christmas gift. They do not look as if they have been watered in weeks! The flowers are falling and the foliage is bashed from where one of them was poking through a gap in the parcel. I'll be phoning the plant company on Monday :(
