    Hiya,

Thanks to everyone who wished my DS16 luck bud sadly he didnt get into X factor so I cant tell you all to look out for him! However we DID finally get the formal letter of acceptance from Waitrose so that is good news for him as more local and more money!

I have had lots of retail therapy today as helped a friend replenish her wardobe- she never buys any clothes and now even she had to admit she really needed to spend some money! So we had a lovely time and we got a dress and skirt in Wallis( dress reduced) and ordered a skirt in M& S which is being sent over from Croyden. I then met another friend and we had lunch together and she has bought my Ceroc shoes from me as I really didnt like it so that has helped us both!

Loads of ironing to look forward to tonight but I shall watch Grease at the same time!

Shame the weather is about to break isnt it but we do need the rain for the flourishing garden!

    Hi!

been really busy and not had chance to post since yesterday morning!

went to visit the school - not reasons offered for the fact that they didn't tell me that DS hadn't handed any English homework in for the last 8 months! except to say that the SENCO was new in the job and hadn't had chance to catch up with everyone on her list yet! still we decided that from now on he stays behind for at least an hour a day to do all his homework/coursework and tries to catch up.It will be quiet there and no distractions and there's always a teacher on duty should he need some help.Am not very impressed that it got to this stage!

Have been working all day and now tea is in the oven - HM beef and mush pies, mash and peas. Am on a long shift tomorrow too! today one of my service users managed to scratch all up my arm:eek: but no serious damage done.

will catch up on the thread later as I've promised to popDS to a mates for a sleepover.

catch you later - hope alls well with everyone xxx

edited to say WELL DONE to shirleypark !!!!

Well I have probably messed my sleep pattern right up now, 2.30 pm eyes were aching, so sat down watching TV, next thing I know 4. 15 pm!

Welcome Jet77  I think we have spoken before, your name seems to ring a bell, I havent found this lot to bite :rotfl: :rotfl: .

Tea is going to be both none diet and none OS, butchers hm sausages (grilled), oven chips, grilled (and not too many either), baked beans. One of our favourites but we haven't had it for ages, followed by a individual profiteroles (courtesy of Aldi, and the last thing I said when DH went shopping was, don't buy any nice puddings as I cannot resist them)

Since Amie suggested this diet I have eaten worse than before!:o

(((((((((hugs))))))))) to those feeling down, it's hard to relate, as I am one of those eternal optimists, and never stay down for more than half a day max.

Evening all - really busy today and only popped in cos dr who is on and I've already been told off once for moving in fornt of the telly - it was only to turn the volume up for madam I might add - so I'm sitting hear trying not to type or breathe too loudly.
Yesterday I bought the Dirty Pretty Things album from asda - i had been waiting for it go into my price-for-a-cd comfort zone which is under a fiver when it dramatically went down to £3 - result. Later in the day my colleagues presented me with pre-birthday pressies - among them the same album from hmv for 13 quid. They included the receipt though so I can exchange it
Middle dd, dgs his little friend and I went to a neighbours 18th last night but left at about half nine because the kids were tired and found out this morning that it had all kicked off shortly after that. The girl's boyfriend turned up and got into a row with the rest of her family - they took exception to him because he's black - I ask you. The girl left the party and later came home to find all of her stuff thrown out of her window - she spent the night at my dd's but we don't know where she is now. I am so shocked because my dgs is mixed race and I never got any racist vibe from them before.
Anyone wanting dieting inspiration should go try on their swimsuit right now - that's what I just did but with two days to go before butlins I suppose its a bit late now :(
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

Good evening to you all and (((hugs))) to everyone! It's been a beautiful sunny day here; have had a successful rummage round the charity shops and bought some 'new' clothes, two really trendy belts, some bathroom scales that look brand new; I weighed myself on them and thought 'I've put on some weight!  ) then got them home and weighed myself again - this time wihout my handbag which, with a full bottle of water in it, weighed 5 pounds!) :rotfl: :rotfl: Also bought a three piece set of weekend luggage for £1.00 and a little tiny teapot which DH pulled a face at   but which I loved!:j :j Also went into Julian Graves where they sell pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, etc, which we love, and bought some dried goji berries - I've heard some brilliant things about them and the vitamins, oils and minerals they contain so I thought we'd give them a go; they're delicious and can be eaten fresh - like raisins, used in recipes and made into a drink - will report on the results - they're meant to make you fizz with energy!:j :j :j :j :j £2.99 for 250 gms but you only need a small handful a day - I hope they work!

Can't remember if I've already welcomed Tartan Mum but welcome anyway and to Verynewmoneysaver and Jett77 - I promise you'll love it here!:j :j

I ended up having a nap on the sofa this afternoon because I was so tired - disturbed night again and a strange dream where someone offered me a 12 week stint working on a cruise ship but wouldn't tell me what the work entailed which scared me so I said 'no'!

DS1 and DIL brought GDS and GDD round for a game of footie in the garden and then a look at the tadpoles and newts in the pond. Watered the garden with a hose that now has a broken trigger - I think DH left it out on the drive and drove over it,so I'll have to get another one tomorrow if I can brave the crowds at the garden centre.

Haven't had much time to red the thread today and we haven't had dinner yet! It's going to be eggs on toast, I think, because one of our friends has turned up on his brand-new Suzuki 1000 motorbike so they're out there now drooling all over it! I've taken pictures of it - it is a lovely bike. We used to have one years ago and went all through Europe on it on what was the best holiday we've had! We intend one day to ride from the east coast of America to the west - one day!

I hope everyone has a lovely evening!

    Catowen - I do hope you're feeling better.:A :A

I love the idea of writing down five positive things each day and I'm going to start my notebook off today! :T :T

Csarina - about copying and pasting...

If there's no copy and paste function, just use Ctrl+C to copy, and Ctrl+V to paste.

    :)

    Hello everyone,

Thank you for all the lovely thoughts and messages - i have been feeling a bit better since writting how ive been feeling, i def think the ideas about writting down 5 things to be thankful for when you feel down is a good idea that im def going to put into practice.

Today, we've been taking it easy, DS had a friend round, they played upstairs for a bit, then went outside, and also helped eat some of our baking - it went down well so that was good. DD and i did our baking, we made raspberry and white chocolate muffins, and mocha squares, which are in the fridge ready for eating tomorrow. I then decided to dye my hair, so it is now 'vivd violet' - a black purple colour and i think it looks good. DD said it was really pretty - i love my children, they can be guarenteed to make me feel better!!! After doing my hair, i cleaned the bathroom and ive swished my kitchen. I also washed all my bedding this morning, so i now need to re make my bed, but im going to do that after the Joseph prog/Grease prog (im flicking between them). I used to only make my bed once DD had gone to bed (she has a habit of getting in my bed to sleep, and although she is only light she is a dead weight when asleep) but the last couple of times ive found her asleep on my floor next to the bed!!! So might as well do it now - mind you she has spent the last couple of nights in her own bed, so fingers crossed she stays tonight.
Well, better get moving - oh, and welcome to all the newbies today, as you can see, ive been feeling really down the last few days, and the lovely people on this board have been helping to make me feel so much better, so im sure you will love being here.

    Have a lovely evening everyone,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hello everyone, welcome to newbies and hugs to all in need.

Managed to get two machine loads of clothes out and dried to-day, rain promised which hasn't yet arrived...if I had put third load out it would be dry by now.

Just OH and me for dinner...we had spinach, smoked mackerel which needed using and noodles, which I fancied...rather odd combination but was better than I expected. Also managed to freeze some spinach to have extra when family expands later in week. Sowed some flower seeds in front ground floor window boxes, four for back not yet ready to go up, hopefully to-morrow.

Sowed some more bok choy (pak choy??) as what I have will go when Japanese DIL arrives, she just stir fries it with a little garlic and serves with oyster sauce...lovely. Also managed to sow some rocket as it is a favourite with us all for salads. OH transplanted some kohl rabi and lettuce outside, I think a little early but he always sows a whole packet of seeds so there are plenty left if these fail.

Started 'defuzzing' my en suite this morning, am going to spend 10 mins there every morning with my micro cloth until it resembles normality!

Going to veg for whats left of the day...thought it was around 6pm until I looked at time.
