You can access 0800/0808/0500 via the pre-dial access number,s
    0200 222 0700/0900

You can access a number of intl destinations and 0845 numbers at Evenings and Weekends only via the Pre-Dial 07730 O2 access number.
Visit https://www.pre-dial.com and click on free destination list for full details.

the 020 numbers do not work.

07730 is pointless. there are much better 0844/0870 pre dial services that o2 let you call free. thanks anyway.

If one 0200 no doesnt work the other will.

The 07730 is not pointless for those who want to reach the destinations it can access at Evening and Weekends from T-Mob.

You were talking about T-Mob when i originally posted reply now your on about O2 a completely different kettle of fish.

So can we expect a new way to use all these T-Mobile minutes for international calls!

For example 07730 type service with a comprehensive list of destinations and 24/7 would be a bliss !!

I've just seen this on HUKD, I'd love to get out of my contract (Flext) early. I renewed my 18 month contract August 06, do you think I have a chance?
I've never called an 07744/55 number before, I don't even know what they're for lol, but it's still a contactual change that I haven't been notified about.

I noticed someone on the other forum had managed to come out of it because of the itemised billing change. I did the same.

For those of us trying to cancel who are on Version 52 of the T-Mobile contract terms, I do believe this should help...

The T-Mobile brochure entitled "Hello" (booklet ref MC/19443/0206) states that, in respect of the Flext plans, "You can use your Flext allowance for calls to UK local and national numbers, calls and texts to customers of UK mobile networks, picture messaging..."

Now, the regulators, OFCOM, state at http://www.ofcom.org.uk/telecoms/ioi/numbers/numbers_administered/ "Mobile numbers (075/7/8/9)" - and goes on at http://www.ofcom.org.uk/telecoms/ioi/numbers/numbers_administered/s7.xls to state that:

7744 2 Allocated Inquam Telecom (Holdings) Limited Mobile services 10 Digit Numbers 06/2002
7744 3 Allocated Inquam Telecom (Holdings) Limited Mobile services 10 Digit Numbers 06/2002
7744 4 Allocated Inquam Telecom (Holdings) Limited Mobile services 10 Digit Numbers 06/2002
7744 5 Allocated Inquam Telecom (Holdings) Limited Mobile services 10 Digit Numbers 06/2002
7744 6 Allocated Inquam Telecom (Holdings) Limited Mobile services 10 Digit Numbers 06/2002
7744 7 Allocated Inquam Telecom (Holdings) Limited Mobile services 10 Digit Numbers 06/2002
7744 8 Allocated Inquam Telecom (Holdings) Limited Mobile services 10 Digit Numbers 06/2002
7744 9 Allocated Inquam Telecom (Holdings) Limited Mobile services 10 Digit Numbers 06/2002
7745 2 Allocated Inquam Telecom (Holdings) Limited Mobile services 10 Digit Numbers 06/2002
7745 3 Allocated Inquam Telecom (Holdings) Limited Mobile services 10 Digit Numbers 06/2002
7745 4 Allocated Inquam Telecom (Holdings) Limited Mobile services 10 Digit Numbers 06/2002
7745 5 Allocated Inquam Telecom (Holdings) Limited Mobile services 10 Digit Numbers 06/2002

Yes... "MOBILE SERVICES" - not "CALLING CARD SERVICES".

Therefore, the Flext description does seem to imply that calls to 07744 and 07755 numbers are included in the allowance.

    Next, the contract itself.

2.c.iii.C.) "you must tell us if you want to cancel this agreement or a SIM card. You may have to pay a cancellation charge if you cancel within a SIM card's minimum period (see 2(c)(i) and (ii)). A cancellation charge is not payable if you are cancelling because:
    [...]
you entered into this agreement as a consumer and we have changed these conditions (see 4(g)) and that change is of material detriment to you.

4.g.) We can change these conditions for any good reason, for instance, if we want all customers on the same conditions. We can change charges or change or withdraw your price plan (see 2(c)(iii)). We will write to you (by postal or electronic means) 30 days before we increase our charges or withdraw your price plan. If we change conditions we will tell you why.

So... if they change charges and the charge is of detriment to you (which it is), then that's ONE breach of contract.

If they didn't tell you about it 30 days before by post or "electronic means" (bit vague, that?!?), that's TWO breaches of contract in total.

I'm not a lawyer, this isn't legal advice - just common sense, but good luck. I'll be phoning them at 7am tomorrow!
  • EVERYBODY needs to remain CALM and COMPOSED.

orange, vodaphone, virgin and t-mobile all want you to become agitated regarding this and they have introduced some red herrings to try and confuse the situation.

follow this and you should be alright.

1 call orange to say you wish to advise of your intention to cancel.

2 get whatever ref they wish to give you

3 send letter by recorded delivery detailing your intention to cancel as the t & c's have changed to your detriment and make sure you send by recorded delivery.

4 check to see it has been delivered and then call orange to say the letter was sent recorded and it has been delivered, can you speak to somebody about it.

5 at least two weeks before your cancellation date call them to obatain a pac code so you can retain your number - they know you have done it all right and will not be able to charge you for the pac code as you are cancelling as per your t & cs

5 if nybody starts talking rubbish about access codes etc, tell them you are NOT concerned about information they have just learned about these numbers, as far as you are concerned they are mobile numbers as ruled by ofcom and as such they WERE as per your contract due to come out of your allowances

6 if they continue the company mantra about access codes then say that you are not interested in late breaking information regarding these numbers , you are only interested in the specifics of your agreement with t-mobile which gives you the right to cancel the contract giving notice appropriately.

7 dont argue with them, just carry on and pursue your course - do not allow them to throw you off course and make sure you ask for a pac code two weeks before its due to cancel / from when your letter on your intention to cancel was served, so your number is not cancelled and lost.

8 if you make a call regarding this or if they they call you back make sure you "NOTE" the conversations so you can easily recall the conversations just like pressing play on a tape recorder.........CS it could be implied may often "ghost" conversations they have had with you or it could be implied that they may deny things that have been said, by making an outbound call to you.....

9 remain calm, orange and the other networks know the changes they have introduced and know that very few people will see it to the end so they continue to put red herrings in the mix - as long as you have served notice on them detailing the detrimental increase, by registered post, they cannot legally deny you the right to cancel the contracts as per the clause - ALL THE NETWORKS KNOW THIS !

10 remember the networks are not going to let you go easily and will try and delay you, trick you and scare you with talk of cancellation fees etc - its all talk, remain focussed and they will release you from the contract - make no mistake about that !

    Hi Guys,
First of a big thanks to you all - I managed to cancel my T Mobile on Friday 13th, would you believe it. It was supposed to run until Dec07.

Remember the 3 important things in your favour
    1. TMobile negotiated with YourCall around 1 year ago
    2. Offcom have listed these nos as mobile
    3. If your mobile operator keeps stalling you - you can report them to CISAS (the regulatory body) http://www.cisas.org.uk/ 3 months after the initial complaint. You don't need any deadlock code after 3 months.

I kept requesting the deadlock code for CISAS (required within the 3 months) every couple of weeks just to keep the complaint active. My 3 month deadline was coming up & TMobile probably knew this & did not want to be reported!!

So keep plugging!! If you want to keep your number while searching around, but run out of time - get the service provider to switch your account to PAYG - takes within 24 hrs. I know Orange & TMobile can do this.
