    Hi

I was so confused by Argos charges i rang them. They were not too amused at me asking them to explain 4 years charges but the didnt really have a choice!

The "other" charges seemed to be a mix of PPI & late payment or letter charges.

Hope this helps anyone that was as confused as i was!!

The "other DB" are where they put the charges

If the amounts are not straightforward 12 17.50 or 20 then you may have the insurance added

Give customer services a ring & get them to explain each charge to you

  • hi

I have just found i have a default against me on behalf of ARGOS.
Its all because they didnt update my address when i moved house and now my £7.00 unpaid intrest that i owed is now £116.00!!
i have paid the £166.00 to the debt company hoping the default will then be removed but after contacting experian they tell me i have to put it all in writing.

How can i prove they didnt update my details and its not my fault?!! my account was nver late and i certainly wouldnt run away from a £7.00 intrest bill!!

    HELP!! where do i stand??!

    thanks

Just got my statements today. I originally asked for them in July and heard nothing. The cheque wasn't cashed either. Sent them a letter last week saying I was reporting them to the Information Commissioner. Lo and behold the information came today. I got the same sort of thing as Rangers above. My charges equal £248.50. Letter 1 will be sent to them in the morning claiming the charges plus interest.
  • Received a letter from today which wasn't bad going timescale wise.

They have offered £80. I have sent them letter 2 looking for the rest.
