So pay day and thus totting up time.
I have noticed in the past couple of months that my OD has been slipping again. And this month I have adjusted my paid figure to reflect this. So it's gone downBut I think I did most of the overspend on my OD last month, so actually this is an improvement, but I have no proof of that!
Anyway, I knew the OD was the thing I was always going to struggle with. I'm not using my CCs so there isn't anything going in or out other than payments and interest. This makes it much easier to affect them and know that the debt is going down. And so it's more satisfying to pay large chunks off them.
The OD is harder, because it's my main account, and so there's lots of traffic and it's easier to loose track. But it's also the thing with the highest rate of interest at the moment, so I should be paying that off first. So I've taken £300 out of the OD, and put it aside in a saving account. If it just sits in my account I will just spend it! Come next pay day I will put the £300 back in to bring the total OD used down that way.Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -
Back from the Hen weekend, and not looking too worse for wear in terms of finances. £65 all in for the weekend (including food, drink and entertainments!) and another £20 spending money for Sunday's jazz festival. Probably the most MSE hen do I've ever been on, but all three days of the weekends had some spending.
Today isn't a SFD either, as I had to go do a food shop. Hopefully the rest of the week should be pretty frugal.Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -
Beginning of August was somewhat a spendy time - I bought some new work trousers in the summer sales and a few other bits. I seem to have left myself with a very small margin for the rest of the month. Not very good planning on my part, but maybe it will concenrate my mind some.
Other than that not much to report: NSD today, and hopefully another tomorrow.Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -
Moderately spending weekend: NSD on Friday; some spends for supermarket food and a few drinks at the outdoor cineam on Saturday; Sunday was just a treat lunch of takeaway sushi on the way home from London.
Not bad, whihc is quite good. More of this needed, just need to keep swimming.Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -
So . . . Monday was a NSD, so was today, yesterday I went to buy ingredients to make cake! It's my birthday tomorrow and you bring cake to work on your birthday. Well it's not compulsory, but since I always eat other people's cake on their birthdays I feel I have to return the favour! You're in or you're out!
I'm quite excited about my birthday this year. Last year was the big 3-0 and the whole thing gets built up so much it kind of took some of the fun out of it. Expectations too high. But it might also be that I feel a lot more together and happy and in control this year, so there's more to celebrate!Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -

Thanks Siouxsie, Happy Birthday to you too!
I had a lovely birthday - a few nice presents, beautifully written cards and great food, about all that's necessary to keep me happy!
Weekend was a mix of spending and not spending: Friday went into town to get a few toiletries. And some books which weren't needed but was nice, and from the £2 bookshop so only £6 damage altogether.
Saturday went out with some friends for a birthday meal which was planned spending.
And yesterday was a NSD. Planning another one for today, but Tuesday will be spends again.Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -
Oh I've been neglecting you diary! Life has been very busy for the second half of August, and work so I haven't checked the forum as much as I used to.
Debt busting is going slow. I didn't do well in August, only knocking a few pounds of the grand total. But I didn't go backwards, which is something at least.Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -
September seems to be going better for me so far . . . three NSDs in a row to kick the month off.
Today I've got a few extra groceries in, and I'm going to pay up my professional isurance later so I can get on to some proper freelance work and get some more money into the debt repayment pot. :TTotal debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -
I've also felt a shift in my mental energy about money recently. I still get the urge to spend, but it doesn't seem to be as strong right now. My resistance is growing, or maybe my reasons for over spending are lessening.Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150
