Valli - mega hugs coming your way.... The problem with society today is that everything is 'somebody's fault'. We don't seem to accept that accidents happen anymore.
But they do! If your head is happy that appropriate procedures were carried out then you need to accept that!
At our place one of my MSA colleagues is a first aider - last year when child a hurt his leg she pronounced him fine - he was in plaster the following day - the leg was fractured.....
Hope you feel better about this tomorrow...... sleep tight.
I'm back from a trip to see Gambit at our local fleapit. It had not had good reviews but we went anyway! And we were very glad we did! We thoroughly enjoyed it and for Colin Firth fans out there I can report that his legs are in fine shape....
For any Alan Rickman fans here I am VERY pleased to report that ALL of him is in EXCELLENT condition! And for a man who is nearer 70 than 60 he has b***s because he was wearing not a lot in 2 scenes - he deserves celebrating for the last one simply down to the bare faced cheek of it!:smileyhea:whistle::silenced::drool::drool::jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Evening all, didn't get a lot done today. I went to my friends house for my normal two hours on a Thursday and we I ended up helping her to decorate her living room. We had a lovely time and a laugh too
It was nice to just forget things for awhile, so I am grateful to her that she lets me descend on her twice a week. Although if I didn't she would end up badgering me on the phone, or text, or worse still turn up on my doorstep and drag me out undressed..:rotfl:
I did feed the birds before I left this morning, once I had dragged myself out from under my duvet and got showered/dressed. I so didn't want to get up this morning - I was so cosy and my little cat was all snuggled up with me tooI think it was too cold for the birds as all I saw were doves, doves and yet more doves..lol I think they are multiplying by the day :rotfl:
I have written a reminder list of things that I have to do as well as the normal things. Whether I do them or not is anyones guess..lol
I have an early rise tomorrow so I had better go to bed I suppose, could always snuggle up under the duvet and read the kindle

Well, no stupid o'clock flying sessions :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I managed to sleep right through the night and only woke up 10 minutes before DS was due to be at nursery this morning -:eek::eek: he is normally in nursery for 9.15, but today I had paid for him to be in for 7.30am!
I managed to get showered, dressed, de-ice the car, get DS conscious, washed, dressed, breakfasted and driven 6 miles to nursery in 30 minutes, and managed to get to hospital 10 minutes early for my appointment - flying with this thread has managed to give me time that I never thought possible before! :T:T:T:T
Sadly I didn't get my ME time inbetween the scan and my appointment - after my scan my midwife told I had to be seen out of turn.....little flybaby is going to need a fistful of spoons when she arrives, so I had the specialist midwife, the diabetic head honcho, the obstetric head honcho and a paed specialist in my appointment:(:(:( it got just a little crowded in the appointment.
Thanks to persistence of my specialist midwife, my surgery managed to magic a flu vaccine out of nowhere TODAY after telling me I would have to go waiting list for unspecified time poss after Xmas. Because pregnant women are not allowed to buy the flu vaccine privately from pharmacies (although other high risk/priority groups are!) only the surgery can do it for me.
So I had only just got in from hospital when I had to de-clutter DS from nursery and head straight back out to Dr's to be stabbed! I now have a big bruise on my right arm to match the yellow-ing one on my left arm from the whooping cough one on Monday.
DD3 has been a real star tonight, and cooked dinner- after the last garlic fiasco, I told her however much garlic she was thinking of adding, to use just ONE spoonful, and then only put half of one spoon in the potresult a very tasty dinner and a kitchen that still smells like a kitchen
Because of DD3 assistance, I had enough energy leftover to make a start on the Room of Doom :T:T:T - albeit in 10 minute stretches, by taking a small handful of papers/filing into the living room and sitting down.
So I do have some stuff to cross off tonight - time for a cuppa, then I will update my list and see what I can do tomorrow;)The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Mumto5 thinking of you and DS -finding their feet and their place in the world is not always straight forward- DD2 struggled with regular school and then went to 6th form 20 odd miles away for a fresh start (the train fares have been crippling for me to do) but has used up all her chances there now too and was on the verge of being kicked off her course a few weeks back , but after some serious grovelling she has been given another chance and seems to have pulled things into focus and has now applied to uni.
I hope your DS finds a path ahead, and as other have said, careers advisors may be able to shine a light on an option that hasn't been considered yet - big hugsThe cold never bothered me anyway0 -

Anything Flyladies can do to help other than offer drawers full of spoons?
Have a hug, on account, btw, seeing as you spend most of the night doing an exhausting amount of stuff.Better is good enough.0 -

Hug very much appreciated....flybaby may still have to spend time in SCBU after I have recovered enough to come home, so I may have to spend a lot of time travelling backwards and forwards to see her... .only thing I can think of to help is when the list comes round mid Jan that there is something in level 1 everyday that is suitable for post-surgery that will stop the Skint Ritz turning back into the Skint PitzI was a bit ignorant with DS I managed to open up one side of my scar by feeding the WM because I thought I could "do it" too soon

DS1 not well so not gone to work
I'm going to the shower nowThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Dusty, I hope your day improves.
Well only dailies for me yesterday, and probably today too as the paid stuff is hectic and wears my little brain out. Also last night, I decided to paint my nails instead of flying, so now I have silver sparkly starry nails, and I can't stop looking at them as I type.
Right, must get on, need to sew a button on DDs coat, dry my hair and walk the dogs if its stopped raining.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning.
Didnt wake until 745 this morning despite DH waking me with a cuppa at 6 something before he went to work! Have managed to make DD's lunch and she's now out the door. I'm back in bed with a cuppa as its miserable, grey with heavy rain and my back/hip joint is giving me severe jip today. I really just want to curl up and sleep again but have so much to do. I really have to crack on as theres the rest of the house to do, shopping for clothing to wear tonight to be bought, Secret Santa gifts to wrap and post plus the flylady cards to post, oh and special cards to buy as well! Still focus on the positives, the show last night was brilliant.
Handful of hugs and spoons flying off to those in need.
I'm away to breakfast and shop first I think then can play house later before going out tonightMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0
