again its for quickness, people see what charm it is and if they want it they enter if they dont they click off, again quickness
What about the ones who haven't thanked you? Clearly they must mind then if what you say is true, but if it is helping your comping then crack on ,we wouldn't want to do anything that would make your comping more difficult now would we. It is not going to be for quickness soon because by the time people had scrolled down to see what you had put ,it would be quicker for them to click the link to the site and find out what the prize is themselves, so are you going to stop then ?

no
because people can click on the little down arrow next to the topic title and it goes straight to the last post posted

I personally couldnt care less about bumping, if someone has something to say no matter how trivial then as this is A FORUM - thats what its for.
However the bumping is becoming a pain now already and its only the 2nd.
I have to admit iam also using another site atm :(to do some advents simply because theirs are just in a simple list line by line.
I never use any other site usually but with the sheer amount of advents being added every hour, the trouble is when another post is bumped its very easy to get confused.
(roll on january)
Also im sure like me many of you up and down the country are finding mse is becoming slow (maybe due to volume of traffic or whatever)
Rather than bookmarking the pages of comps you want to do then finding they wont load sometimes , what im now doing is clicking the link of the comp on advents say and BOOKMARKING the ACTUAL comp page rather than the mse page.
I find this to be so much easier and has already saved me tons of time,
and as we all know mse does go offline occassionally for site/server updates etc so using my method means it makes no diff if mse is offline.Still comping, after 2 heart attacks 4th feb & 6th feb, and a stent put in.. 45 years old only:eek:0 -
Some of the access problems posts might be reduced if users try a different browser for those particular advent competitions.
For me, IE gives issues on: Stylist ; Whistles; Bank; Evans; Gu's Advent and Neomorganics.
All work in an alternative browser okay.
Of course it may depend on your computer, but I've just decided that if I can't get it to work properly on IE, use another browser.0 -

I don't really understand why this has to be an issue at all, if people don't like bumping it's really easy to have the forum in 'Thread Start Time' order, so you just view threads as they're posted, then you can work through as you like with no bumps what so ever at any time, and the people that like or don't mind bumps can view in the default format and everyone's happy! :j0

Bumping up don't worry me as I use the "Newest Thread" button to work though the new comps, this avoids me having to read bumped threads.0
