Tesco's Parking Charge Notice

We do not condone the deliberate flouting of parking rules and regulations on this forum but, sometimes - in private car parks especially, trying to avoid breaking them is nigh on impossible. And that is why, it seems to those of us who have been alive to this for a few years, is why those rules were established in the first place. To catch out the unwary.
As for the likes of Tesco, I no longer shop at our local branch and haven't done so for quite a while because they brought in a PPC. I switched to our local Morrisons and took in the first receipt from there (well over £250 I seem to recall) and waved it under the Tesco's manager's nose. I told him I would never return and haven't done so.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -

I think I'm going to get myself a new hobby in terms of being a "parking fine collector". I have at least a dozen from over the past year - all of which ignored and all of which have gone away.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

I do envy you.
I have been parking just over the lines every week at my local Tesco deliberately.
More than a year later .... Nothing!
And just who do you think is being inconvenienced by this "tactic"? Some other poor guy looking for a parking space when you have taken two!
And you boast about it! Don't you realise that this helps make the case for PPCs having real power to charge inconsiderate selfish people like you.:mad:0 -

Who pulled your chain?
I always park on an end bay, parking just over the line into a hatched area. The word "gullible" isn't in the dictionaryTickets: 19 [cancelled: 18, paid: 0, pending: 1]
PPC Appeals: 8 [accepted: 2, rejected: 5, pending: 1]
POPLA: 4 [accepted: 4, rejected: 0, pending: 0]0 -

Then be clearer in your posts, particularly as you use the plural "lines" in your previous comment.
If what you say above is the case, then I have no problem with your parking, but I have no sympathy for those people who really can't park properly and seem to pick big 4x4s to make matters worse.0 -

Does anyone know why the 49 came to a judge and why the 800-odd SCC were issued?
Matt.
We don't have that information, the 800 odd cases could have been dropped for various reasons, like payment to the ppc, dropped when defence was submitted, the case withdrawn by ppc, or myriad of other reasons. And regarding that there was 1.8m invoices in 2011 not 1.1mExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
It's also worth mentioning that the majority of the PPC "victories" would be down to the defendant either not turning up, or not even getting the summons in the first place. Add to that the stooge cases and you can see that the PPCs have no leg to stand onOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0
