Well I had another good day yesterday. I seem to be selling things left, right and centre on Amazon and have another 2 parcels to post out today. :T I think one of my jobs for the weekend will be to make a list of all the CD's and DVD's that I don't want any more and put them up to. I had a quick look at my CD's last night and pulled out a few, but I'm getting the selling bug and I'm enjoying myself!
Unfortunately, I'm not going to have a NSD today as I have to get petrol. I made it to work, but only just. However, I have stuck to my petrol budget this week which is unusual for me as I normally manage to spend more.
I've decided I don't need to spend extra money on my cousins Wedding so will not buy and more beauty products, my nails will have to do. I cannot afford an extra £7.50, it's not important!
I had my statement through on my second store card yesterday and I'm irritated by the interest. I know it's my own fault for spending on it, but I've never really bothered to look at the amount I'm actually adding to my bill. So I've decided to pay off the smaller amount on the other card and then throw £100 a month at the second card to get it down quicker. As it is really stupid to pay that much!
But I'm still feeling positive although I'm tired today, so will run the risk of spending, especially as I have to go into Town today and pick up my free book and go to the post office.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -

On the subject of mobile phones - I know I am very old fashioned when it comes to these, but quite honestly, we lived for hundreds of years without them and now we seem to let them rule our lives, and ruin our bank balances. Mine was the cheapest pay as you go one I could find, and I put £10 every 2/3 months or so. I use it to text and be texted by hubby, also to and from mates. I also use it to contact kids in case of emergencies and vice versa. I think that this is what a mobile phone should be used for and it doesnt cost hardly anything. I have free calls weekends and after 6pm from my landline to any uk landline, so if I need to chat, I use this - or better still, meet up with whoever I want to chat with (if they live near enough). I know that pay as you go might not be the cheapest way to run a mobile if you use it alot, but I think sometimes we have to look at how we use things first. As I said, I know this is an old fashioned view, but it works well and cheaply for me.0

This is true. I understand that to do this would be cheaper, however as most of my friends have mobile and can only be contacted on their mobile, it does make for a large land line bill. Whereas my monthly mobile allowance includes cross network minutes. Anyway I took out an 18 month tarrif and this doesn't end until Feb 2009, so I'm stuck with it for a little bit.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
I am annoyed at the fact I thought it was a good idea to take out a 18 month contract to get this new phone I wanted (do get free boadband with it) and cannot change to payg now until Dec. Also boyf has done the same thing, we have just took off the mobile insurance saving £10 a month and itemised billing saving another £3 a month, but we are still paying £70 a month for 2 phones which is madness when you consider how much debt we have.Skint Mummy0

That's not good!
My T-mobile contract is one of their flex tarrifs so I pay £25 per month and get a £60 allowance to spend (i don't know how they make it work!) So in actual fact I'm not doing to badly. I have just moved up from the £20 a month one as I was spending to much. Bad I know.
But it is working out to be much better than my old Orange mobile!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0
