I love reading your diary and find it very motivating :p

I agree with what you say about this site changing your attitude - all of our debt is consolidated so it's unlikely that we'll end up paying it off any earlier / can't make overpayments on it but I love the fact that I am completely changing my attitude towards money and debt and know that I will be extremely cautious about building up any more debt in the future and won't let my debts get out of control.

    Have a good week! :j

Lucy - How about looking on freecycle for a greenhouse thingy? Or anything else you might need? Might be worth it?

Right I have just got inito work after a very boring morning waiting for the Sky man to come. On a plus point we now have working sky :j and didn't have to pay the £65 call out fee :D

Just had another sale on Amazon so I have £69.95 waiting to be transfered to my current account on Monday:T which will be a nice little boost to my account and I get paid 2 weeks today, so will have to be really careful as I've gone over my budget a bit  but by much less and it normally is so I am learning and it is getting better.

But hopefully next month will be better although I have my car servcie, which shouldn't cost to much. But will work out what I am going to pay off my store card once this has been done. I have my hair cut on Saturday which will only cost £7.50 and I have £6 set aside for it at home and will add £1.50 when I get home. So I suppose I am learning to think ahead and plan what I need to spend, just need to get random spending down a bit

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Hi Lucy - glad to hear your sky is working again :) How's it all going? You haven't overspent by much though have you as you're still less into your overdraft than normal - are you going to ring up and reduce your overdraft at the end of the month?

    Hi Sea.

Did you weigh in last night?

I haven't overspent by much. I need to sit down tonight and go through it all really. That and I still have the Amazon money to go into my account. But Still on track to pay £80 off the overdraft (Hopefully) I might leave it in place this month as I have my service due and while the car shouldn't cost if it does I'm stuck so would have to put it on the OD.

If I've overspent it's only by about £20ish, which in the grand scheme of how I can over spend its nothing!!

    Ok

I have decided that not only am I bad with money I can't count. Could this be where being bad with money comes from. I checked my bank account when I got into work this morning and thought I had gone really badly over my budget. Just logged in again (i don't know why, maybe if I stare at it long enough something will happen) and I still have £60 before I max my OD, not great, but I have £69.95 sat in my Amazon account to be transfered over next week and £80 in a savings account to go off my OD so all in all I don't think I've really done that badly have I?

I know I've had to relay on the Amazon money, but it's better than it could have been and next month should be better as I have cut my outgoings. :D

But before I leave work tonight I'm going to print off my bank statements and sit through them all this evening and work out what I still have to spend and where I can cut back for next month.

    It's better

    :) Good plan :)

I don't reckon that's bad going - and if it's of any comfort, I have used ebay money for the past 4 months to see me through! That's what it's there for at the moment :)

Oh Good!! I'm glad I'm not alone. And to be honest I suppose over the month it is paying for the £80 off my OD. I just need to look at it like that and I'll be fine.

I know what you mean - sometimes the hill is soooo high, it seems like we'll never reach the top, I feel a little like this with the charges and interest horrible HSBC are piling on my account, especially with the low payments I'm giving them in the first place.

Ah well, we'll get there in the end!
