I love buying presents for people. I sometimes just bring Mum home a bunch of flowers. But we have all been really good recently. Mum and I set ourselves a £50 limit on present for each other at Christmas and my best friend and I try to stay around £15. So that isn't to bad.
I have my boyfriends birthday in July () and have no idea what to get him, it's his first since we have been together and then Mum's in August, but we will limit that as well.
As a general rule we don't buy presents for the family as there are so many of them!
I bought the magazine at my class last night, there are some very nice looking desserts in this one. But I am feeling much more motivated. I only have about another 2 stone to lose, perhaps 2 and a half if I can face it :rotfl: But I am sat here tucking into my pasta salad feeling very virturous as I haven't had any syns today(which makes a change, I started the week trying to eat my weight in chocolate  )

hehe - I made the chicken pasta last night (p.27) and it's fabulous - turned out a lot nicer than I thought and very cheap too! Pasta from 3kg bag from Asda for £1, cheese - smartprice!, tinned toms - smartprice, onion 8p, garlic clove (ooh about 2p?), chicken pack £2.50 and there was enough for tea last night for the 4 of us, and tea for OH and the kids tonight
Have a good low syn week!

I've just been play with my budget spreadsheet. I have mine calculated until April 08 as my small lloyds loan and bed are scheduled to have finished by then so I'll only be paying for my big lloyds loan (£242.82 min per month)
Assuming I am only paying the minimum and I'm putting £100 into saving and keeping the rest of my budget the same I will be left with £270 spare a month :j
Why did I get into debt!!!! And why can't I wake up with it paid. But I am going to look forward to one thing. Once I am in that position I'm going to overpay on the loan a bit and save up for a really good holiday and looking at it doesn't look like I'd have to save for that long
Well there is an incentive to get rid of the debt even quicker. Without the loan I'd be looking at about £510 spare at the end of the month. Hmmm I'm going to look forward to that. I'd be able to leave home as well. :T

Ooooo How was your holiday?!! Had a relaxing time I hope.
I've been ok. Saved some money on my car insurance about £31 a month :j paid off my first store card :T (going to cancel it and then cut it up)
Oh and I told my Mum all about my debts  but she took it really well and has been really supportive.
Anyway. How are you doing now?Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
relaxing  as relaxing as it gets with a two year old, plus me and OH bickered all holiday, well atleast twice a day, lost our camera, other than that all good, got a tan, daughter loved the sand, too cold to go in the sea or even go in the hotel pool, temp got to about 28c most days, did loads of walking and shopping, it was a really good time. then back to reality.
Glad you told your mum, i told my mum and dad about us being in debt but i told them a little white lie about the amount, I said it was only store cards and they offered to pay them off as I said it was £200, add on another £1500.00 and we are there, wouldnt of been a problem but they wanted to be with me when i paid it off and wanted proof that the money had gone to that and paid it off in full and not anything else. I declined the offer saying "we got ourselves into this mess we will get ourselves out of it"
I'm ok thanks, it's payday today and we have been skint since we come back from the hols so was really looking forward to getting some bills paid and starting court proceeding against A & L for bank charges, spanner put in the works as a bank has just won so got to decide weather to go ahead or not and OH work has f**ked up his wages, only paid him 1/2 and we got all standin orders and direct debits coming out on monday and not enough in the bank to cover it, Natwest say they cant change the dates as they need 24hrs notice, fair enough i knew that but worth a try so i have told OH that I will be passing on all my bank charges to his work to pay as I am not being charged for a thick lady not to be able to do her job properly, fair enough it was her first time to do the wages, (been training her up for months) but not our problem, somebody should of checked them before sending them off.

That's not good. I'd been in this job 6 months before I realised I'd been paying emergency tax since I'd joined! No one had bothered to chase it  But I did get a nice tax rebate. And I actually used it to pay off some of my overdraft :T
I bit the bullet with Mum and she know everything, every amount, where it is, what the APR's are. But she's going to stick with me and keep an eye on how I get on. But I'm determind to get it paid off quickly.
Oh and we had my cousins wedding. Which went well, I managed to get sunburnt, but they are in the Maldives at the moment and not due back until tuesday.
I got paid today as well, can't your OH's work do another payment. Mine did the month I noticed my tax. I had the money in my account on the monday so it wasn't that bad.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -

No it's not. It's always something isn't it. I've decided life is never simple! But try to be positive, remember what doesn't break you can only make you stronger.
