We had a lovely day yesterday but my cold has really come out. well and truly streaming now....

Picked dd up after work and we decided to go to B1uewater. BIG mistake. Traffic was gridlocked due to part of M25 being closed and extra seasonal traffic. The 10 minute journey took 45 mins - not too long but felt longer as we were both starving hungry!

Stopped for KF.C as soon as we go there. Got my refund for my MandS dress (£65 tvm much needed now ) and managed to get everything we went in for so my xmas shopping is all done barring my Secret Santa present. Everything is now wrapped and under the tree apart from a couple of dd's presents that are still in the car. I'm waiting for a moment alone when I can sneak them into the house :p

Just need to update cashbook and see what the damage is...it's payday friday so I've not done too badly. Doesn't look like we're getting a xmas bonus because we got our payslips today and they are the same as last month. Oh well never mind.

Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:

Just when I thought I'd got all the xmas shopping done I was talking to my friend this morning and he mentioned the presents for the teachers. Quickly rushed out and got 3 chocolate oranges - no prizes for originality there - and I've just re-read a previous post and realised that I still haven't bought my secret santa present. Will need to pop out to Ada's tomorrow now

Apart from that nothing much to report. DD came with me to my pole class because mum and dad were going out. She loves it and joined in.

I still feel rough so could really have done with coming home and going to bed early but here we are at gone 11 and I've only just got into bed :(

Now got a hacking cough :( although on the plus side I do have a bit of a sexy voice thing going on so not all bad. Perhaps I should take advantage of it and give WLM a ring

Got a text from the CSA today and 6 (that's SIX) weeks money will be paid into my account on Friday :j . Better late than never :D

Also was given notice of a pay rise - works out at just 2.49% but it is still a rise so am not complaining.

Still not bought secret santa pressie.......

  • 2.49% better than the 0% I get year after year:p

6 weeks of CSA money will be lovely, it doesn't seem to come regularly though does it? That must be hard, if you can't depend on it.

Our secret Santa pressies are all being doled out tomorrow - I'm usually shoving my gift in the box on the morning we give them out, but not this year - I was a few days early:T Hope I get something nice, I had a lovely gift last year and I bought a very lovely bracelet this year for my person:)

Now get to bed young lady, I'm off now...am exhausted. Roll on friday:D
I really need to sort out a new signature!

Yes I was surprised to get the rise so it will all help.

The CSA thing is annoying - it does make me wonder if they'd got it and were just hanging onto it knowing they'd be paying me today. It is definitely a nuisance at this time of year but if I'd got it earlier I'd have spent it by now :D

Secret santa - we have to buy something beginning with our person's surname initial. I've got the letter C. I was going to get something from Ann Summers but I just couldn't face it on Monday (besides I had dd with me ;)) so i will definitely have to pop off to Ada's tomorrow.

    Definitely off to bed now....

I must have slept badly last night because I woke up feeling really rubbish. My chest was hurting from my cough and I was really aching and to top it all I had a headache. I didn't feel much better until about midday when the headache went. Still got the cough though.

Payday tomorrow so I have shifted money around (value tomorrow of course).

Food - £200 (£40 per week but hope to be well under this due to hardly being home next week)

Car/Petrol - £150 - I usually put in £80 but I have upped this because I want to start building up some money for maintenance/MOT etc. Also only filled up last weekend so there should be enough in there to give it a good start.

Emergency - £100 - I usually put in £40 and end up transferring it back to my current acc halfway through the month but this time I have increased it (because I can :D) and hopefully I can build a nice little fund here for any unforeseen expenses.

I need to pay the After School Club fees for next term (£117) and also school dinners for January (£36). I'll do those both in a little while and then they're done and there's no mad rush come beginning of the year.

Finally bought my secret santa present. I will wrap that up in a moment. Just need to get dd a few stocking fillers - hairclips etc - will in all likelihood be buying them on xmas eve :o

First wash of the night has just finished. I will put another one in to finish when I get up tomorrow. That way I have a least got a headstart on it all. I'm quite busy this weekend - out for a meal tomorrow night with some school mums, out at a friend's on saturday and to another friend on sunday.
