Another NSD day here - that makes 2 in a row
I've been for 2 runs this week so far - just round the village where I work. It's been cold but sunny - perfect.
I've got a few watchers on the ebay stuff that i listed and one of the T-shirts has 2 bids so far.
I got another text from the CSA and another weeks money will be paid in the next few days. It all helps.
I haven't bought any more xmas presents as I am running out of ideas. I think I might just do some net surfing for new home furniture
I've just realised today that I haven't had the latest issue of a magazine I took out a subscription for earlier in the year. I must chase that as soon as I can find an email address.
And - more stuff to do - I get a renewal through for my oven insurance. I must cancel that too seeing as I am leaving the oven. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Not a NSD after all
have just bought dd some new clothes from n*xt as part of her xmas present and just as I was about to checkout I saw some c0nverse boots which she has been on about for ages and so I just thought what the heck and bought them too.
She did a really good thing today at after school club. Two girls who she is good friends with were mucking about in the toilets - blocking the loos up with various items and dd said she didn't want to be a part of it. She said she went and sat in the other room with no one to talk to which she said she hated but told them that she'd rather go off on her own than do what they were doing. I was just so proud that she had the strength of character to do that (even though she hated it) and not just copy what they were doing. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
:T Hurrah for your DD (and of course the mum who brought her up with that character
)

My dear little girl has cleaned my house for me today. I've had an awful headache since yesterday evening and just couldn't do anything this morning and she has cleaned up the kitchen, dusted the living room and her bedroom and also gone through the house with the carpet sweeper
I think she quite enjoys it really but it was so helpful of her.
She cleared out some more bits from her bedroom too - stuff that she's too old for and I have listed them on eb@y. I've sold a few large bits this evening too, dolls house house, leather jacket etc so that is more money for the pot.
I'm going to be a bit broke this month because the survey is being done on my new house on the 11th and I have to pay for that up front. I have also just treated myself to a pair of black skinny jeansafter realising that I have hardly anything to wear at weekends - not even basic stuff - but they were only £12.50 from sainsbugs.
WLM came round yesterday and we had a nice afternoon together. It is so nice that we still get on well. He's offered to help out on moving day (whenever that may be).
Right - must get on with parcelling up those sales..It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Guess what....we might be moving:beer:
A house that we just missed out on last time when we moved here just came back available....so we viewed it today and it's lovely;) it's back in the village I want, which is really only 2miles away from here, but girls friends are there and I work there. Will fill in the form and take it to the agent tomorrow...fingers crossed all the checks go well and quickly. If it can be done fast then I could give my months notice on this house on friday ad move around New Year!:D
It's a bit smaller, but still 3 bedrooms and is just so nice...I'm excited, but terrified it'll go wrong:o it could be a busy Christmas holiday for us:)
Great news on the eBay sales...I have a few things on there right now. One a pair of boots I bought from there but she sold me a size bigger than in the listing, grrrrr...but, they're currently going for £5 more than I paid so I win:T unfortunately I'm running out of things to sell. eBay used to be a great extra income for me, but I've sold anything worth selling.
Lovely, lovely little girly you have there doing all the cleaning. Damn sure my 2 wouldn't bother their backsides:mad:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Oh wow how super we are both moving! We can exchange notes
I'm sure you'll move before us. I will keep everything crossed for you. How exciting though - I love moving
The survey was done on my house today (the one I'm living in), just hope it doesn't throw up any serious problems. I don't want to have to lower my selling price for any reason. That money is potentially my gorgeous new furniture fund
I've received all monies from everything I sold at the weekend so they have been posted off apart from the dolls house which I need to dust off and get ready for collection on Thursday.
Last night I wrote all my xmas cards and I have posted them off today. Even sending second class it's quite expensive but at least they're done.
Tonight I've ironed both our bedding sets, washed a quick dark load and mended the vacuum cleaner - I managed to snap the handle off so it's now attached with duct tape..It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
I went to the gym again today. Far too windy to run outside today so I used my friend's free pass again and did 10 miles on the exercise bike. I'm seriously considering joining. This way I could do 2 runs in the village and 2 sessions at the gym on the bike each week. There's a pool there as well so I could probably take dd there at the weekend too as it's not very crowded. It would only work out at £20 per month once I get the money off work to do it.
I've had 3 NSD this week so am very pleased with that. Quite busy at work too but I'm enjoying it more than ever.
A dolls house i sold on eb@y on sunday was collected tonight so I couldn't get into my PJs as soon as we got hoe like I usually do
Thursday night is my wash night so the second load is on - hopefully get it all done by tomorrow morning.
Absolutely no news on the house move. :cool:It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
I have just ordered The Little Book of Growing Up for dd. I desperately need to have the 'period talk' with her as one of the girls in her class has started (she is just 9 bless!!) so the need to tell all has cropped up sooner than I thought it would. I seriously need help with this! I'm not sure how to even start the conversation! Hoping the book will help a bit....
I have done something to my leg. Not sure what but it's behind my knee and feels like something needs to snap or as if something has already snapped:cool: Been walking round like an idiot all day. Had a bag of frozen peas on it last night and if anything it feels worse :wall: so tonight I've tried the opposite and rubbed in ibuprofen gel and stuck a hot water bottle on it.
Probably going to go to bed soon. I had a late night last night due to a bloke from work sending me flirtatious texts :shhh:!! It was very nice but I am shattered nowIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Hi Poles
Just in case useful - I have this author's other book for adults, and it's really good - includes a lot of information that is skipped out of most non-medical books and yet explains it very clearly. I haven't read a copy of the teens book but it would be my first point of call on the subject!
