Thank goodness for TV on a Saturday night!
And a date you say Pixiechick!
Hi Pippi :hello: you must be bored if you're reading my ramblings
Yep - thank goodness for the TVIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
It's cold and grey here today. I'm going out on my bike in a little while. I was going to go with my sister but she's cried off sick so I'll go on my own again....I don't mind that though. I do find cycling very relaxing, if a little hard work at times. I do like the virtuous feeling afterwards
I need to buy a new kettle. Ours is leaking through the joins on the side. Came down this morning and there was water all over the kitchen worktop and over the plate that the kettle connects to. I'm so annoyed - I only bought it in May! No way have I still got the receipt. I expect kettles to last at least 5 years.
Right must get cleared up and into my cycling gear..It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Well, it's just a date with a guy I've been chatting to online...from that infamous free dating site:o
I've chatted to a few recently....2 were great, then just disappeared...so weird;) So, not that great really I guess:rotfl: Another sounded nice, but I just wasn't feeling it, so didn't meet him. This one I've just been emailing for over a week, but he sounds lovely - sends chatty, long emails not brief, 2 sentence messages!
So, we're meeting for dinner halfway between his work and where I live...about 20mins away on Tuesday night. I'm nervous but, for once, I'm actually looking forward to it. I hope he's as nice as I am expecting;) I need to relax and not overthink it though, as I tend to do:o:o
So - will keep you updated:D Wish me luck!I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Yes do let me know how it goes - you never know! There's no point me doing anything like that, it's so hard to get out - I'd never be able to meet up with anyoneIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0

I did almost 25 miles on my bike :T I did a route that I haven't done since about May. I was an absolute mess when I got back though. Mud everywhere, even on my face and my helmet. There was a huge spray going up my back so I think the time has come to fit the rear mudguard that I bought weeks ago and has been residing in the car ever since
We popped to Sainsbugs for petrol (£35.62 already accounted for tvm) and had a hunt for a new kettle but they didn't have any in cream that were in my price range. I'm not paying nearly fifty quid for a kettle!! I picked up some xmas presents for my cousin's children so that's 3 more crossed off the list.
I need to update my little red book with all the spends. I really need to keep on top of my spending for the next few months. I anticipate having to pay for the survey on my new house soon and as I haven't got any money put by for moving expenses (as it was all such a sudden decision) I know that will take me into the red slightly until I get paid in December, which fortunately is a few days early.
Am liking being an organised bod again anyway. I might - might - even write my xmas cards tonight!! :shhh:It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Clothes sizes - my general rule is the cheaper the shop the tighter they are with the fabric
:rotfl: I bought dresses in 8, 12 and 14 in the last couple of weeks. Though my guess is the more expensive the shop, the skinnier they expect their customers to be!

It's been all go go go today on the house move front. Have spoken to solicitor and things are moving there. They also have an online tracking service which is updated every 15 mins so I can keep an eye on things that way if I am too busy too call them. Also spoke to the mortgage advisor and that is all going through nicely. Hopefully the survey will be done on my new house soon. Spoke to the EA too and said they could give my number to my buyers in case they wanted to get in touch with me. She seemed reluctant to do this and said that they would probably come through them but I'm sure they will want to come round for another look soon so we can exchange numbers then. It's annoying having to call the EA and keep relaying messages.
I posted off another ebay parcel. I only made 99p on it but it would have gone in the bin otherwise so it was worth it. I have a few more items of dd's clothes to list this evening - really nice stuff that she just refuses to wear - m&5, n*xt and mini b0den !!It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
All sounds good
Are estate agents like solicitors? If she gets to charge for each letter and phone call no wonder she doesn't want you and the buyers talking to each other...

Well I am paying them a fee but it's fixed so it doesn't matter how many phone calls or letters she writes. I think they just want to be in the loop all the time. It's OK for me because if I think of something I need to know about my new house I just have to text my friend. Last time I moved I got the owner of this house's phone number straight away and we were in contact quite a bit.
As far as I'm concerned I'm really just paying them to market and sell the place and I think I've got my money's worth because they have been faultless there. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0
