Trying not to fall off the DF wagon

Hi - just popped in the say hello after your encouraging comment re: my PT session.
I wonder if your headache might have been caused by de-hydration? when OH and I used to do a lot of fell walking for our holidays I always used to get a bad headache, at some point I read about hydration and it turned out that when we started out earlyish in the morning I was not having enough to drink beforehand, started taking more fluid before going out and it cured the problem (created another one, as I was always having to look for secluded rocks to hide my comfort breaks:rotfl:)
Hi maddiemay  thanks for reading.
Yes I think it was almost definitely caused by dehydration. I find it really difficult to drink loads whilst I'm out. I had a big glass of water and glucose when i got back and then half a pint of chocolate milkshake but I think it was already beginning to kick in. I am really prone to headaches anyway so I should know better, It didn't go until this lunchtime! It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
I've posted off my ebay parcels so not a NSD today as I spent £14.10 at the post office although as that was already factored in to the ebay sale price then maybe I could claim it?
I also got an email from a company I'd bought something off and then returned and from reading various things on the net I thought it was going to a real trial to get my money back, They have said they are going to re-credit my account so fingers crossed they keep their word. I can adjust my little red book to reflect that then and the balance should look a bit better.
No more news on my move but we are going to pop round to see my friend on Saturday so we can look at the house in a totally new light - as the prospective inhabitants! I'm quite excited :T
DD is at Brownies tonight - they are doing 'I'm a Brownie get me out of here!' where they will be doing their own versions of the bushtucker trials.
She went on a trip last month with some other Brownies to the head office of Ta1k Ta1k and they were filmed and photographed learning all about coding and hacking to get their Computer Badge. They all had a great day and are going to be featured on the Girl Guiding website but Brown Owl text me today with a link to a news article on it and DD was in the photo! There were other Brownies in the background but she was the main picIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
I've made a start on the xmas shopping. I've gone through quidc0 for everything so will hopefully get some cashback at some point. I also used some of my ebay sales money for another present. Everything will be delivered to me at work. Got to love online shopping
It feels good to have got the ball rolling anyway. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
I'd definitely still count that as an NSD as yes, you e received the money to cover the eBay postage:)
I've made a small start on dreaded Christmas shopping too...thank god for internet shopping indeed, I shall get cracking soon! I'm using an empty bank account as my 'Christmas account' so I can see clearly what I'm spending...let's see how this goes:eek:
Exciting about going to your friends house....you'll be mentally putting your furniture in while you're there:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

That's a good idea. I'm just waiting for payday now to sort out my deficit. Actually really glad I don't have a partner to buy forExciting about going to your friends house....you'll be mentally putting your furniture in while you're there:D

Today I went to a gym for the first time in over 15 years! The weather has been absolutely awful here today, freezing cold and wet, so I didn't really want to go out and run. My friend has recently joined a gym at a local hotel and she had some free passes (very MSE) so I went along to try it out. I ran further than I usually do but it felt much harder. I think I actually prefer running outside but the shower was really nice
I'm glad I went anyway and I will probably go again if I'm asked.
Not a NSD today because I had to buy a birthday present and card and also some stuff for dd to take in for her school's xmas fete - £13.16 but I did find a coupon in my purse to get double nectar points so not all bad.
CSA text me earlier and 4 weeks money will be paid into my account next week. It's payday tomorrow and I have already worked out next months money so will need to start shuffling some around. I need to do a food shop tomorrow so will write my list later on. I will start getting a few xmas goodies from this week - biscuits and chocolates mmmm.

Saturday night and I am bored bored bored again
We've had a busy day - popped to town for a few bits. I picked up my dress that I've bought for the xmas party and ended up changing it for the size 8 that I'd tried on last week  couldn't work out how the smaller size could look so much better - the 10 emphasised my lumps and bumps yet the 8 disguised them? I'm still not totally sure about it but will wear it if I feel thin on the day of the xmas party.
We went to the library and got some more books - very :money: and then this afternoon we went and had a look round our new house :T My friend has had an offer accepted on her dream house so our chain is now complete :T There are 5 in the chain so not huge but not as short as I'd like. After looking round 'our' house today I am even more excited! I've spent the afternoon looking at furniture websites for inspiration
Yesterday's food shop came to £62.51 but along with extra food I did buy 3 rolls of wrapping paper, cards, tags, chocolates and biscuits. It's a stupid idea to buy a luxury tin of xmas biscuits in November - especially when I'm as bored in the evening as I am now :wall:
Thank goodness for I'm a Celebrity.......It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
I've been bored too:o
So exciting for you to have your new house to plan and look forward to...when do you think/hope to be able to move?
Lovely to have a new dress for your party....I'm not going on our official work do - was around £40 just for the meal, before taxi and drinks. So a few of us are going out fora curry at the local place the night before. Take our own drink - night out for under £15!;)
Dress sizes drive me mad - bought lovely new skinny jeans this week, size 8 and a 10 from T£sco....both fit the same....then a pair of skinny trousers come from h&m, size 12, too snug grrr:mad: Back I go to Next and Tesco with their big 8s:rotfl:
In other news, I have a date on Tuesday;):DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Waves to all - Poles fingers crossed re the house.

I am so excited about the house! I really need this. Everyone in the chain wants to get things moving (literally ha!) quickly and the earliest the solicitor thinks we'll complete - providing there are no problems - is end of January. I am thinking this is a little too ambitious so have end of Feb in my head. 3 months!
Clothes sizes - my general rule is the cheaper the shop the tighter they are with the fabric
So - a date!! Lucky you! I want details please!! PM me if you'd rather. I have had no romantic interest for a couple of months now - i need encouragement and positivity from those that are having more luck than meIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0
