Good luck people who are moving.

Valm - good news that your busy at work maybe that means the housing market is improving a bit.

Maddiemay - hugs to you and your brother.

Have an in courtesy of a competition win

CID iprime primer - this is a brand I haven't tried so am looking forward to using but will wait until my other three opened primers are finished.

The little local Boots had two big piles of the S&G set yesterday and I didn't see anyone buying. I had a look but had already established I wasn't buying although I did like the bag. DH was with me and said I have enough stuff for 5 years and didn't need it then two minutes later he said get it if you want it. I didn't though. I had gone in to look at the S&G set with an alarm clock but didn't buy that either as it didn't look like the clock had a light and I need that.

My LIB advent calender had a Bellapierre eyeshadow in earlier this week and it is lovely. I have never heard of this brand. Have any of you ever used it?

Hi dolly, yes it looks like the housing market is in on the up. The conveyancer I work with though is excellent and has drummed up a lot of work in the local area.

Have not used bellapiere though am aware of the brand as I've seen it on QVC.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

My first UU - Elemis Melting Cleansing Gel 125ml. WNBA - I had no problems for a long time, but lately I have had 1 or 2 red sore patches, I know that others do not like it for the same reason.

I have graduated on body scrubs, 1 should be a UU in a week or so, that just leaves me with a Botanics Sugar Scrub, Shower gel/body wash 2 in use and 9 in stash, body butter/moisturisers are a bit of a problem as I am lazy about using them, even though my skin is a bit dry, trouble is I hate that feeling when clothes cling after using it, I have an Elemis Skin Nourishing (which I love) and a Crabtree & Evelyn in use plus about 9 other lurking in a drawer, some really nice Molton Brown and White Company amongst them, rather hoping I do not gain any at Christmas. As mentioned before, hand creams are my big problem, will not graduate in 2013:eek:

I hope that those who are moving are settling in and that heating problems are soon sorted, VAL - I am taking your advice re the LE and trying to resist an Emma Hardie starter set with £10 off and free P&P, it is a fab bargain would cost £15 for cleanser, cloth, eye serum and facial serum, plus those little grain things, and would be great for a travel kit. I love all the items except for the grains. Will ponder a little longer....

Great news on the comp win, I have not tried Bellapiere, like VAL have seen it on Q, reviews for the brand seem to differ widely, so I guess it is a try it and see.

  • I have heating :j:j:j thank you ladies for your kind thoughts and wishes, think OH thought I was overreacting but it really got me down when the house was freezing and I felt like I couldn't do anything. When the engineer eventually came he was brilliant, sorted it out really quickly and said although its an old boiler it was running really cleanly and you can still get all the parts whereas I was expecting him to condemn it on the spot which is what previous people have hinted at! Still needs a part or two to make it a bit more reliable but that's in hand and the guy didn't even charge me a penny for coming out!! When I told OH that, he asked how old he was :rotfl: silly so and so. Was almost pathetically grateful to get it sorted so quickly and easily. I'm sat here and the place feels cosier than ever :D What a relief!

I'm 80% certain that when my S&G set arrives in store that I'll go and return it straight back. There's a couple of things in there I don't like, one I'm a bit meh about and although a few I'd like to try, I'd be very surprised if I don't get similar items for Christmas. My Mum in particular, who I've in part to thank for my addiction in the first place, usually gets me quite a lot of toiletries :D

Going to pop out later for a wander about and to try and get something to wear for Christmas Day. Will be interesting to see if there's still S&G sets stacked up. I think part of the problem this year as well as people having gone off it, is that they've actually got a lot more stock in the first place which would have gone better in previous years when they were selling out within the hour.

Yay to heating:j, I feel the cold terribly, and am so pleased that we are able to keep the house nice and warm.

The other thing I think about the S&G is that people have got fed up with opening stored products to find it has gone off.

Good luck finding the Christmas day outfit, I have a nice red dress to wear, but I think I will need industrial type overalls to protect it from cooking, unless I wear scruffs and take it with me to change into.

Sorry to snip but yes that is one of the main reasons for me. I have other things in my stash that are older than S&G :o (hence why I'm here) that haven't gone off whereas it does.

I see Lidl have the men's aftershave with £1 of from Thursday. I'm going to get that for my BFs stocking as I like the Mdame Suddenly which I wear to work.
However still have no idea what to get as the main present, been trawling the internet looking for ideas but know he is really fussy so wondered about saying to him that I was going to get him some cycling stuff but thoought he'd be best to pick it to get what he wants. Does that sound fair?

Maddiemay - I saw the EH set with £10 off but although I would like to try it I have resisted as the items seemed quite small for the money. However I am very interested in the Daniel Sandler blush (I am a blush addict) and the Eyeko skinny mascara and eyeliner, have seen this mascara used in quite a lot of tutorials on youtube and it looks very natural.

Where's the Emma Hardie set for £10 off? I LOVE the cleanser so it might be a good present for my mum for Christmas.

Asset2004 - my OH would hate it if I bought cycling stuff for him, he is very particular about what he likes, so mostly for birthdays and Christmas we buy each other a small present(s) to an agreed amount to open on the day, and then we go out and choose something that we each really want, he has bought me some nice surprise things, but often it is something I would not choose myself, this way no money is wasted or no feelings hurt:D

dolly84 - yes the sizes are small but EH is incredibly ecomomical, you really only need to use a very small amount of any of the products I have tried (all the kit plus a very rich moisturiser), secret is to put small amount on fingertips then rub together to warm and apply to face. I have seen the Eyeco mascaras on Q, but did not want to buy 3 at a time. Might try it sometime, but have just splurged on a Lancome one, which is lovely.

Skyllo - It is at www.whatsinmyhandbag.com, £10 off shop over £20 and free first class p&p, not sure how long offer lasts, but cannot be for long I think
