No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries in December

2 UU over the weekend:
TBS Ice Blue shampoo - WBA but I don't think they make this anymore
Burt's Bees radiance body wash - I am so unbelievably bored of this stuff but only 3 giant bottles and 2 small ones to go  but I suppose that's my own hoarding fault! This is the only body wash I have and am not buying anything else until it's gone (I reckon at least another 6 months) as a punishment to myself to buying so much! I have fished out a few small travel body washes of other flavours to use in between giant bottles so that I don't go too crazy. I think Burt's Bees is my own personal S&G Clean on Me!0 -
A couple of UUs to report:
Nivea Express Hydration Primer sachet - OK, although I didn't really understand what it was so WNBA!
Umberto Gianni volumising shampoo - travel sized - found in swimming bag! I like this so WBA
Body Shop Spiced Vanilla body butter - nice although I have millions of body butters left so WNBA for now.
Also some GA's
2 x Body Shop gift bags (aloe and hemp) to DS's nursery workers for Xmas presents
S&G Scrub your Nose in it / Planet Spa face mask / Body Shop face mask / S&G Flake Away / Royal Jelly bath salts- To Women's Refuge for Christmas
Just opened a massive bottle of Everyday Shampoo from Tesco so think I'll be working on that for a while! Unearthed 4 more bottles of shampoo and 6 x Venus razor blades while searching for refuge stuff so happy with that as I thought I needed new blades. My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Did you buy in the end CookieMonsta? I saw a demo of this yesterday. I've never bought any of her products as I don't like the packaging (fickle me?). It did look a really good kit to buy and divide up as gifts though.
I didn't see the S&G set in Stockport yesterday however had a peek in at the Boots local to work and there were three on the shelf. I don't think the store was open as I was going past (luckily). I looked the poster and felt a rush of desire for it as I saw it contained Sugar Crush, Clean on Me, Righteous Butter and Heel Genius but then quickly asked myself whether it was worth spending £27.00 for products that I like but don't need right now (with the exception of the Sugar Crush). I then had a LBM. I think the reason I bought so much before starting this challenge was because of a product's popularity or exclusivity. If it felt like everyone was getting one I wanted one hence why I was fair game for QVC. This did come into play the other day when I was in Sally's as well. I'd gone in a couple of weeks ago and saw that all the James Bond lacquers were gone. Thought to myself that they probably wouldn't restock them as the Holiday lacquers are considered Limited Edition. When I saw them in again last week and saw that they had most of the colours in multiples in stock but only one bottle of Casino Royale I decided I wanted it as I considered it must be popular as they had nearly all gone.
Meant to add another UU. And one I am flabbergasted at. UU: drum roll please 35ml bottle of Elemis Frangipani Monoi Moisture Melt. Have been making myself take the bowl of hot water up with me lately to use this and couldn't believe when the bottle spluttered it's last. I'd only applied it to my legs this morning when it ran out as well. WNBA. Have 4 x bottles still in stash.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

No I didn't. But I did watch the show a few times! Is it just me or did you notice that when she rubs her hand over her other (made-up) hand to show that it's 'bullet-proof' it looked like she cupped her hand so she wasn't actually rubbing the make-up!
I reminded myself that one of my aunties always gets me expensive make-up for Christmas so I have that to look forward to, and since it's only a week away now, I resisted!

Another cleanser bites the dust:- Origins Hot cloth cleansing balm 70ml. MBA, bought this when I was having eczema type breakouts, nice and gentle, no stinging, but very thick and gunky, left a thick greasy film on washbasin. Good price, very economical, soothing, best for dry sore skin in winter perhaps. The Emma Hardie is a gazillion times more expensive, but I really love it. BTW didn't buy the starter kit, got to get the stash down, repeat after me..................:rotfl:
VALM - what a result with the Elemis Oil I keep the full size one close to the radiator and the mini in overnight bag, but WBA when these are finished. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

I think this was my problem too, but mainly with regards to makeup. Things are changing all the time in that industry and I always want the next big thing because it might make me that bit happier. I'm quite glad now that the urge to buy has gone! After Christmas I am going to have a proper purge and only keep the things I love and will definitely use (rather than the bright green eyeshadows I've worn maybe 5 times and will probably never wear again!)
Have a couple of UU to report;
Mitchum Roll On - WNBA, didn't dry quick enough for me and didn't really do it's job!
Mithchum Stick Deo - WBA, liked the scent and it kept me dry for a while (I swear I'm not that much of a sweaty betty!)
Avene Cleanance Lotion - WBA and my OH already has bless him.

indiepanda wrote: »One small UU - a sachet of parsley seed anti oxidant facial treatment by Aesop. It is nice but very expensive and I have a few serums / facial oils to UU so I won't be buying any time soon.
Feeling quite pleased that although this has been a pretty hard month I've not given in to trying to make myself feel better by treating myself to any products. Only need to keep it up for a few more months (ok years!!!) to get that stash under control!
