No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries in December

Another cleanser bites the dust:- Origins Hot cloth cleansing balm 70ml. MBA, bought this when I was having eczema type breakouts, nice and gentle, no stinging, but very thick and gunky, left a thick greasy film on washbasin. Good price, very economical, soothing, best for dry sore skin in winter perhaps. The Emma Hardie is a gazillion times more expensive, but I really love it. BTW didn't buy the starter kit, got to get the stash down, repeat after me..................:rotfl:
VALM - what a result with the Elemis Oil I keep the full size one close to the radiator and the mini in overnight bag, but WBA when these are finished.
Well done on your resolve maddiemay. I've decided to give one of the oils away to my friend as part of the little hamper I'm making up for her. Think I'll have to heat up all my bottles to ensure they are full though. Whoops.
2 more UUS for me:-
V05 Give me Moisture conditioner. Had another one ready to replace this.
Elemis Apricot toner. WNBA. If I use an Elemis toner it's usually the Lavender one. Didn't like the smell of this Apricot one. It was one of the small sized bottles that I must have got as a GWP at some time. Have replaced it with my new bottle of LE IBST.
Emma has also finished her current tube of C&P.Ón holiday but still posting managed to finish a mini shower gel Kings and Queens Honey bought in TK Max WNBA it really smelled of honey which is not my cup of tea. Now onto the next mini hopefully use two more before we come back from holiday. It's 28 degrees here so lots of showers needed.
Wishing you all a Happy Christmas if I don't get to post again before Christmas.
Happy Christmas to you too TallGirl.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Had to smile at this, recently thought I was going to have to answer door to postie with a face mask on:eek:, but fortunately package was thin enough to go through letter box:rotfl:The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Have an in courtesy of a competition win
CID iprime primer - this is a brand I haven't tried so am looking forward to using but will wait until my other three opened primers are finished.
My LIB advent calender had a Bellapierre eyeshadow in earlier this week and it is lovely. I have never heard of this brand. Have any of you ever used it?
Hi dolly84 - I have the new CID primer and love it. I used to like Smashbox photofinish and also like Laura Geller Spackle but I think the new CID one is better than these (for me anyway).
I have seen Bellapierre in TKM but not tried it myself - it looks like Bareminerals so would be interested to hear how you get on with it.Wishing you all a Happy Christmas if I don't get to post again before Christmas.
Happy Christmas to you too.
Also another UU:
S&G calm one calm all bubble bath- WNBA - the scent is too flowery/fruity for me. Another S&G bites the dust from the stash. Yippee!0 -
Evening ladies, I have come in to declare one teeny UU and many more Ins
UU - sachet of L'Occitane eye balm, WNBA since I have at least 2 more years supply of eye cream in the stash
And now the ins -
Vaseline lip balms x4, in a gift tin, they were only £4 in Bodycare so how was I supposed to resist?!
Avon Mosaic Effects top coat in silver and Avon Glimmerstick in Mocha Flash, I really didn't need either of these.
UU have been slow this month but I am going to try for another couple, hopefully I have finished my Christmas shopping so can stay away from the shops now!No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018
35 UU / 13 unnecessary ins0 -
Ooh ladies...have I missed you! :rotfl:
Well, flat move completed. Most things have a place *looks sheepishly over shoulder and closes several doors quickly with foot in a sweeping motion while smiling to cover up foot activity* and I even managed to UU a few bits. I also got a few INs though...call it overexcited moving in purchases...
UU:
Emporio Armani Diamonds: Christmas present a few years ago - absolutely gorgeous perfum. WBA with no doubt!
TBS Satsuma Body Polish (200ml): smelled gorgous and did a good job at scrubbing the skin, without being as overly scrubby as the S&G stuff is. Having said that I got it half price in TBS at £4.50 and nice as it was, there's no way I would pay £9.00 for it. In fact, £4.50 is a bit steep! (Is that sensible or has this :money: thing gone too far?! :rotfl:) WBA at £4.50, but no way Jose at £9.00.
Travel sample of shampoo and conditioner: taken from hotel. Did the job, nice enough, but nothing too special even though it was from a posh-ish hotel.
IN:
3 x Mitchum deoderant sticks: on special offer at £2 a piece and will use them, so not counting them, but any more than that would be passing 'stash' and going straight to 'stockpile' no I'm not allowed more than that in stock in one go.
OS Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel (+ Lime & Tea Tree): One pound each and delicious, so didn't say no. I am in the middle of using a big l'Occitane shower gel at the minute, and might not have needed both, but they were the best price I've seen them at in a while.
Rasberry Pavlova Shower Gel: Also bought at pound shop and smells lush...was a bit disconcerted to see it for 89p round the corner after buying it, though! (Right, now I know this :money: has gone too far! :rotfl:)
Other than that, I've been doing slow UUs. Oh apart from the bargainous Ralph Lauren eau de toilette set I bought when in Ireland for a few days - 20€ for 30ml perfume, shower gel and body lotion when I had taken a flight, had used up all my shower gel in a day and a half or so, had no moisturiser for my very dry feet and had just ran out of the Diamonds perfume...couldn't say no! :TPlease call me 'Pickle'

Finally finished"
12ml Vasanti micro scrub - took it on holiday with me, got it in a beauty box. Got a few more to use up. Nothing special other than it's made here in Canada and it's always good to buy local. Not different from any other facial scrub.
L'Oreal BB cream sachet. The colour was good but not enough in the sample to test out more than once. Would consider it if I ever run out of the Garnier tube I have and the stash of tinted moisturizer I found under the sink.
Clinique Rinse off eye-make up remover. 50 ml gwp size. I liked it! Doesn't sting either. But I have a veritable lake of eyemake up remover.
Clinique Toner 3 -- 20ml sample decanted into the open bottle of Clinique toner I found in the kid's bathroom (it's their acne line) that I'm finishing off.
It's amazing what surfaces when you reorganize the under the sink cupboard. I've decided at the end of the year to decant all open shampoos into one bottle to give me room in the shower.
There are a few splutters that won't give up.0 -
did we not do secret santa this year or have I been too concerned with other stuff that I missed it?
can't have shellac removed till NYE:eek:so filled in the base with similar colour, looks okay from a distance but can feel the ridge:rotfl:wish they had said it might be a problem getting in to have it removed(had it done on the 5th)still it is the only cheerful thing in my life at the moment:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:things are quiet at home and he is cuddling me in bed at night and even asked for a cuddle this morning but think he has pushed me so far I am not sure I want to come back:(my friend tried giving me advice onn the phone yesterday but I had tried all she suggested and in th eend just said okay I will do that even tho I know it does not work:(
had a very strange dream about the church organist last night and starfish!!!wish I knew what dreams mean,my last one was about a 6 foot long toilet:rotfl:
cold grey day,off to aqua fit then hair cut,my normally curly hair has gone straight!!!!(but very red:rotfl:) so am having a blow dry after the wella treatment and cut for the first time in years, should be interesting, tried myself yesterday and found it hard on my hands(arthritus)
