Then a testing company called Bzzz Agent sent me a load of Burt's Bees moisturinzing products to try. They are horrible. Haven't seen them in the stores yet but the cleanser leaves a scum on the sink requiring you to clean the sink every time and the nightcreme is not creamy. It looks like white shoepolish and is waxy to touch (not sure if this is due to freezing solid and defrosting once I took it in from the mailbox).

We have Burt's Bees over here but don't like it. I liked the idea and got a shower gel through a magazine subscription but wasn't impressed with it.

Hugs to everyone that needs it, sounds like we are all in need of some some fortune
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

Poor you. I am the same with my veins and usually end up with a dead arm for days.

Hehe thanks for the sympathy, dolly :)

I have 2 outs to report.

TA Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic, 50ml - it smells horrid compared to my newer one. I must have had this one for at least 2 years so I'm chucking it out!

UU - L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream, 10ml - this has been living in my handbag and has now been used up! Lovely stuff, WBA and I have 3 or 4 more in my stash!

PleEEEEEEase help me. Urban Decay have launched a new Naked pallette with just mattes. I love, love, love my Naked pallette and this one is £18 at the moment at Debs.

Sorry, can't, I desperately want to buy it myself. if you buy it, then it will go out of stock and I won't be able to :D:D
  • Hugs to everyone! What a lovely, cosy thread this is with a lovely bunch of ladies :)

Oh dear oh dear, had a blood test this morning and had to wait ages to be seen, getting more and more nervous and sweaty. Then went in and they couldn't find a vein so had 2 more nurses come in and have a go. Then I passed out for a good 20 minutes apparently but they did get some blood out!

So on my wobbly way home I bought some chocolate to self-medicate and dreamily wandered round Superslug and gathered a whole basketful of stuff. But then I snapped myself out of it and remembered this challenge and you guys! So I put it all back except for some shower gel for DH for his stocking and left feeling very virtuous!!!

Well done for managing to resist temptation when feeling wobbly, it's not at all easy to do.

You have my sympathy on the blood test, my first one they couldn't find a vein either, had to get the nurse who deals with people with "difficult veins". The last one I had they bruised me quite badly. I've just changed doctors and said I would donate blood but I can't say I relish the prospect of doing so. Felt dodgy enough giving a litte syringeful - a pint sounds rather a lot.

Valm - I have the same problem with buying for Mr Dolly. We don't spend a lot and all the mens gifts are so expensive, he said he didn't want any clothes and he doesn't drink anything fancy that he wouldn't buy for himself (thinking like me and Baileys). I have got him a North Face hat which is the same as mine but in black (he covets my hat but not in pink apparently), a pair of leather gloves with a thinsulate lining and a Starbucks mug and some christmas coffee. There were some lovely Molton Brown gift sets in our local department store but at £50 he would be horrified. It is so easy to buy presents cheaply for us ladies, everywhere you look there are lovely girly things, scarves, jewellery, pretty notebooks and diaries, the list is endless.

Probably the wrong reaction but I read this and was like I probably NEED this too, even though I've got NAKED2, quick Google it! When I actually stop to think about it though I don't really need it as I don't really use the matte shades, I find them a bit flat so I don't need it and neither do you - if that's what you want to be told! Hope that helps :D

  • A couple of UU, dry shampoo from S-drug and Balance me eye cream. WNBA. Also i've been very naughty and bought a LIB calendar. Decided to keep it until February; i can have a treat a day until my birthday. Also got a second one at half price (didn't have a code but phoned up to ask if i could) which i gave as a christmas pressie to my best friend, with the instruction that on days that the world is getting her down she open a door and hopefully it will cheer her up a bit.
  • Got a horrible bruise from bloodwork on Saturday. They wound up getting it out of my hand! First time in ages I haven't had it done at the hospital where I work and in a community lab. I think my hospital's staff are good at it because they deal with a lot of addicts!.

It's warmed up to zero! But I'm going through moisturizer and body lotion all the time but am not finishing anything!

Got the husband some CDs he's been after for ages and unfortunately he's discovered Amazzzon

Rosemary: how to put this delicatly? Have you thought the husband might be having blood flow difficulties, the staff might be at half mast? Men never want to acknowledge they are getting old and would rather act like total twits than say the man parts are getting old.

    Had an in yesterday

Elemis SOS Emergency cream - purchased during the Debenhams 15% off, I have wanted to try for a while now but the 6 month use up time on all Elemis is a bit unrealistic for this as I will only use a tiny bit as and when needed so I hope it lasts.

I think you'll be ok if you keep this for ages dolly. I have recently used up a full size of this which I'd had in my bathroom cabinet for ages and was only using for spot relief. It is a lovely product, enjoy. x

Emma wants the new Naked pallette as well. She too loves the Naked 2 set. Won't be getting this from me though.

I think I'm going to get MrM a copy of "Bond on Bond" as I usually get him a book and have a feeling if I don't and he has nothing to read (even though he's said he doesn't want a book) he'll miss it.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

It's -2 with freezing fog here and I thought that was cold!! I am clearly weak!

    Two more UU's

Champneys spa indulgence oriental opulence shower cream
Champneys spa indulgence oriental opulence body glow

Both minis from last year's boxing day sales stash. I really like the smell of these and used the shower cream as bubble bath. The body glow had a slightly odd side effect - after use I scratched my leg and came away with thick white cream under my nails! Considering the product appears to be little more than oil and sugar that was a little odd!

Everything else is now in a box ahead of the move this weekend, so I think that's my last UUs for a week.
