he says it is because I have been so demanding(wanting sex maybe once a week and doing things we have done in the past being demanding in his eyes!!!!)and that I am driving him away.he does want to cuddle me a lot when he comes to bed and in the morning but nothing else.there have been times esp on holiday when he has wanted lots (even when i was ill after being seasick and I just did it to please him and was too ill to eat that night!!!!)he also says people change and I should accept it.the thing that hurts most is that he does not kiss me any more.I am not sex mad and reallly it is about the emotional side as to be brutally honest I can do the physical side myself only less messy and with better results!!!!!
I am losing sleep over this and cannot see what the future is as am sure if we do staert again nothing will have changed:(
have a good day everyone,we are off to the dance at 12(tea dance)thinking of buying an East dress to cheer myself up...was £225 now £135:eek::eek::eek:crazy as its a ball gown which I won't wear much anyway:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Afraid I have no advice to offer you, but am very sorry that life is so tough. Hope you have resisted the dress, the "fix" from buying it would probably last only nanoseconds (spoken from experience), what about putting that £135 into the possible holiday with friend that you mentioned?, my dear, much older friend, always said every wife should have a "running away fund", she bever used hers, but loved the feeling that it was there.

Its nothing compared to what some people on here are going through but having a rotten time with OH and work at the moment.

Hope you manage to get this sorted. As others have said, maybe he just needs some time living on his own or maybe he feels your place is yours and he wouldn't feel right moving in? Anyway, thinking of you and hope you work things through.

Elemis SOS Emergency cream - purchased during the Debenhams 15% off, I have wanted to try for a while now but the 6 month use up time on all Elemis is a bit unrealistic for this as I will only use a tiny bit as and when needed so I hope it lasts.

I have this for when my skin gets stressed. I don't use it within the 6 month date and it seems to be fine. The smell is divine - enjoy, hope it works for you.

You have my sympathy on the blood test, my first one they couldn't find a vein either, had to get the nurse who deals with people with "difficult veins". The last one I had they bruised me quite badly. I've just changed doctors and said I would donate blood but I can't say I relish the prospect of doing so. Felt dodgy enough giving a litte syringeful - a pint sounds rather a lot.

I have deep veins but I do give blood - I was sent away one time because they couldn't get the line in but I now make sure that I drink lots of water before the session and this seems to 'plump' the veins up a bit. They normally have to wheel out their 'expert vein finder' but once the needle is in the blood does come out.

Have managed to resist the EH even though I love the balm - another £5 in my SPC. And some UUs:

Trevor Sorbie volumising mousse - HG product - need to consider stocking up as Boots have 3 for 2 offer on at the moment and I don't have a stash of mousse.

Philosophy senorita marguerita shower gel - liked this but not as much as the other 'cocktail' fragrances. No need to buy any shower gels in the foreseeable future so not likely to 'WBA'.

I didn't see the LG TSV and am trying to be philosophical telling myself that they will show the kit time and time again when it is again on special offers (if it didn't sell out that is!). I've decided that I am going to follow your lead next year and put money away each time I UU products and forego a TSV.

It is worth doing - I had £145 in my SPC - over half of that was from putting £5 in for every TSV resisted, the rest was loose change. In my £1 for every besuty item used I now have over £200. I also did the £365 in 365 days challenge - I was musing on this this morning and over the year I saved over £700 and didn't really miss it as I was putting a little bit away every time I added something to 1 of the pots.

    Love it! Well done!

I've decided to put £1 in a pot for every UU/TA/GA and have £13 so far.

I want to use it as spending money for our holiday to Italy next July :)
What have you got planned for your £700?

I have bought some premium bonds and am saving the money from my £1 for every UU towards an Ipad - hopefully this time next year I will be the proud owner of one (or a millionaire if I my premium bonds win - ha ha)

Ooh that's interesting. Martin :money: mentioned premium bonds on his programme the other week. Apparently savings accounts give better return but people like the excitement element that they might win big like you say!

I'd love an Ipad too. (sigh) maybe that can be my 2014 goal :)

  • Hi :)
I only discovered this thread today but think this is just what I need, I have so many items I don't use yet I still buy more - slightly afraid of putting a list together of all my toiletries as I know it will be a big list and a realisation of how much I have actually spent but I guess everyone starts off feeling this?

..might take me a while to put together this product list haha!

Trying to catch up on the last few days and it seems that so many of us has had a difficult few days. I am pleased to hear that away from the thread, friends and family have been helping and some surprising offers indiepanda from your work colleague. I hope things continue to improve for all having a tough time.

Well done on standing up for yourself, it really is the only way. Hope things improve soon on both fronts.

Be direct and ask outright exactly what he wants to do in a perfect world then work something out from there that suits you both. Living together isn't the be all and end all.

Lucky you. Burts Bees do the balm thing well but I havn't been overly impressed with anything else.

Have uu a sachet of Dermalogica microfoliant, this was part of a set which came out of my LIB advent calendar yesterday. I have used one of these before and find it quite pleasant, it is very gentle and reminds me of the teething powders I used to give my children.

Another fan of the SOS cream here. I love this and find it very effective. I used mine over the course of a year.

Also I hated the Burts Bees products with a passion. I think their peppermint foot cream is the vilest product I have used on this challenge.

One sample UU Nivea night cream sachet. It was okay to used but WNB in the future.

Struggling a bit with the cold just now, so feeling miserable. My best friend is on the way with a lovely Italian takeaway. Yum

  • Maddie: I second you on the "running away fund" My father gave me the start to mine and told me every woman should have money in her name that her husband couldn't touch. (His father was away at sea most of his childhood and my Grannie was quite formidable).

Rosemary, honestly, that's how I've got through the last decade of my marriage. I leave my husband twice a year and go on holiday or stay with a friend. He's never shown any interest in where I go or who I stay with. I'm at the point where the mortgage is paid off but if we sold up and divorced neither one of us could maintain our standard of living and I really don't want my future grandchildren visiting me in a onebedroom condo with no garden. My husband is very different and can be very difficult. His brother once told me that the famly was amazed that I hadn't divorced him years ago.

I just soldier on and make a life for me with my interests. Not perfect but I'm not in debt, live comfortably, and have learnt to be independent.
