Am totally loving this weather ( I am weird I know), we have freezing fog here and when you go out you can feel it envelop you - love it.

    Have a uu

Sanctuary spa body butter - 50ml - WBA, this is really lovely stuff.

On the subject of IPADs my friend has bought one each for her two children aged 10 and 9 at a cost of £400 each and I know other people have bought them for Christmas presents too. IMO it is completely insane for children so young. There are children in my 9 year old DD's class with iphones and she keeps nattering me but what on earth, I don't have a need for one and she certainly doesn't. Why can't they have toys and be children.

  • I absolutely hate this weather because my circulation is poor at the best of times and I am sitting here with about 3 layers of clothing on and the heatings on too and I still fee really cold. Hope I'm not coming down with anything...

Have a couple of IN's to declare -

John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Shampoo and Conditioner - Only because I'm staying at my parents house this week and forgot to bring some with me!
    Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £
    LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000

Hi everyone - just been catching up (only the last page or so!) BIG hugs to all of you who are having difficulties in their lives. (probably most of us one way or another) just stay safe & keep warm.

1 UU - Pantene Protect & Smooth for coloured har - wba as it didn't 'strip' my hair.
1 UU - Alberto Balsalm Blueberry conditioner - WNBA - smells like cats pee to me! Luckily it doesn't seem to linger - I hope ;)

i've just started using some Lacura (ALDI) Age Vitale Cream-Oil lotion. Its for dry, very mature skin (that's me ;)) Used it after a bath/shower as its quite heavy BUT its fab - not only is it a WBA I think it could become my HG! They don't sell it all the time so next time its available I shall be buying a couple of bottles (at least!!)

I like the idea of putting some money away every time there's a UU. Think I shall do that then when I buy in bulk I won't feel guilty - not that I ever do haha

I certainly endorse all women having an 'escape' account - if nothing else just for the sense of worth & security it brings when you can buy something with your own money. Been married nearly 40 years & I STILL keep a bank acount of my own - not much in it now as I think its probably too late to escape lol
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle
  • Hi everyone! OMG it's been forever (or feels like forever) since I've been able to post on here - or anywhere else online.

Work has been kicking my butt LOL! but loving every minute of it.

I'm trying my best to catch up with everyone's posts, but finding it really hard, even on my day off.

BIG HUGS to everyone who is feeling down and unloved. As mentioned by other members, do what's best for you and makes you happy! x

I have lost track of my UU"s as tons were samples but I'll do my best to remember. I have actually not purchased 1 single thing for myself this month, but was so lucky that my new company and my friends have given me such wonderful products. My favourite IN for this month has to be the Dior Mitzah palette. I never dreamt that I would own this as it costs way too much but I am staring at this beautiful makeup piece as I type this, so I am super happy!

    UU's:
Lush captain bubble beard reusable bubble bar - I didn't quit like the scent of this as I'm more of a fruity/fresh scent type of girl, but it was very moisturising for the skin

Lush brazen honey face mask - The scrubby effects were awesome in this, but I'm not a big rosemary scent fan so I probably wnba and will stick to my usual Love lettuce fresh mask.

Lush angels on bare skin - after using one pot, I will say that it did help with my redness but I'm not a lavender fan so I probably wnba this again either.

ok those are what I can remember that I UU's, off to go wrap ome christmas pressies xx

yesterday we had water dripping from a light bulb, today my car would not start when i was going to the coffee morning,I was calm about the bulb but got a bit upset about the car,not helped by being shouted at by OH complaining about me getting upset!!He drove me down and arranged for the garage to collect the car(loose conection so battery not charging so overnight at garage)ended up crying over a friend who said she thought we should go to Relate...oh if only he would!!!had to cancel my birthday facial for tomorrow so well fed up.It is just one thing after another,I know they are mostly minor things but how many straws can one camel take?????
tomorrow another friend is cooking me lunch so something to look forward to.OH has got me a pressie but told him the thing I want most he cannot buy.wheh I got upset about the car he gave me a cuddle and said we would sort it as he sorted the light but when i said what about us he said "that I don't know"...hardly makes me feel good. Now feel upset about telling my friend as she got upset too(OH says I upset others by showing my feelings)
can't wait for this awful year to end but will next be even worse i wonder?

Did buy the dress yesterday as looked so good on but the next ball we ared due to go to is in March(I am hoping to be in spain with my friend when the Feb one is on but not told him about that!!!)anyway did not buy any toiletries!

    BIG Huggles to you, Rosemary.

That all sounds a bit rubbish and confusing. There's nothing wrong with showing your feelings, your friend obviously just felt for you like a good friend should! Maybe she is having marriage issues too, it's really not easy being married

Not that I have that much experience, only been married for 3 and a bit years....

I know it sounds odd but could you sit down and write down all the things that are worrying or upsetting you? Seeing it all on paper makes it look a bit more manageable. Then you can take the first thing on the list and brainstorm about how you could solve the problem. Even if you don't act on it, it might make you feel a bit better and more in control.

Actually just realised that just typing it to us lot must have helped. Ignore me, I'm rubbish at giving advice!

UU today - Pantene Aqua Light conditioner, 400ml - WNBA because it makes my fine hair really fly-away, I need a rich conditioner especially now my hair is coloured!

Used the last bit up by mixing with some laundry gel and washing some woollens and the bath mat as last night my cat had decided it was too cold to go outside for a pee.....thanks Tilly!!!

  • Hi :)
I only discovered this thread today but think this is just what I need, I have so many items I don't use yet I still buy more - slightly afraid of putting a list together of all my toiletries as I know it will be a big list and a realisation of how much I have actually spent but I guess everyone starts off feeling this?

..might take me a while to put together this product list haha!

Welcome to the thread - hope you enjoy being part of it.

Thank you very much, everyone is so kind, its really appreciated. My OH makes the smallest thing into a major decision so its no wonder something like this is monumental - there is definitely an element of this being my house etc as he's said that much at least. I just got myself into a state as I thought him not wanting to move it was a prelude to something more negative and it panicked me but last couple of days have settled down again and I feel so much better.

I love the Trevor Sorbie mousse you mentioned in your post too, its fab!

I totally agree about men and small decisions - what a nightmare - Mr KM once spent so long compiling a spreadsheet to compare televisions that by the time he reached a decision on what to buy, the model he wanted was dicontinued and we had to start the whole **** process again. He asked my opinion and I said as long as it had an on/off switch, and worked ok then I was happy.....

Also have more UUs to report:

Fushi anti aging lip balm - got this in a LIB box and have to say I loved it. Really moisturising and quite cheap too. WBA once current stashes are UU as I really liked this. Using a L'Occ one now in a tube - pleasant but not a HG I fear.

S&G glad hair day - actually quite like this - much better for my hair than the LE shampoo. Might even consider buying this when I need more shampoo. Had another tube in the stash so using that up next.

BTW - love the S&G bag at Boots but being good....
