DH said if ours wasnt such a bloomin stubborn little *expletive* we'd have him as he loves those blue and white ones :rotfl:. He did talk about getting a second one after a few months after Georgie gets comfortable (dunno how much more comfortable the little so and so can get, screeches for his food, screeches for playtime, rules the bloomin roost! :rotfl:) and I pointed out with how territorial he seems to be, the other bird would prob get WW3 attacked as soon as our backs were turned  so best to stick to the one :D

To be honest, all the birds she has been put with they have all attacked her so i am thinking yours would be no different.... lol. He sounds like a [STRIKE]spoilt[/STRIKE] lucky little boy lol

Saver88 - thank you for your thoughts. Unfortunately, it was not good news and I have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Biopsies have shown that it has spread to one of my lymph nodes. So......surgery on 10 June to remove tumour and lymph nodes. Then chemo and then radiotherapy.

Deep breathe and get prepared to go into battle with the damn thing!!

Hmm Nell, really sorry to hear your news. Sending you hugs and thoughts. I think I live near you, if you need a change of scenery and a coffee, pm and I will be there!

Oooo I just had a roadkill result! Went into c0-op as DS has cooking tomorrow and needed some bun cases, picked up a few other bits :o, went to the self scan and when I was waiting for my change saw there was already money in the tray , first I thought maybe id missed it starting to dispense and I was getting all £8 in change, but then it spat out £3 and a £5 note, so I can only assume the person before me didnt bother to wait for their change  so £2.90 roadkill for the pot tonight :D

thats some roadkill! I wish I was that lucky! well done!

  • Hi Sue can I please join rather belatedly! I have been adding to my pot since Jan bit haven't got round to making it official. I am not keeping a tally of what I save, but would like a nice surprise come november when my friend Cathy and I are going to open our sealed pots over a glass of wine and hopefully pat ourselves on the back for making Christmas 2013 just that little bit more enjoyable!

thanks very much and what a great idea!
