Morning all and welcome to Carms20
I went to buy a radio last night for my car. When i got there they had sold my boxed one and expected me to buy a broken ex display one. No thank you. They also had all my details on display for the world to see :@ Anyway, after talking to two drips (one of whom was the manager) they finally asked someone helpful to see what they can do. He said, on his travels today, he will visit as many Halfords as he can to try and get me one. Failing that, he will try to get one transferred (which apparently they shouldn't do) and will call me once he has news good or bad. This was helped by the fact that he was very yummy to look at haha. Hopefully he's not on this forum..... oops.
So only £5.24 going into the pot last night. And my car is hopefully going into the garage tomorrow to be fixed and we're off for dinner out tonight before my sisters OH goes back to the army in Germany. So, pretty tight week this weekSealed Pot Challenge member #071 VSP #4

How exciting little_sweetie. An allotment is definitely worth the investment. In regards to raising money are you doing it as a group or individually? If as a group how about having a kind of fete? Everyone could donate some of the veg they have grown this year to sell plus I know there are always spare seeds around. How about collecting up everyone's spare seeds, and selling those? People who grow in pots etc don't want a full packet of seeds as they haven't got room so half a packet is ideal. If you know any good bakers maybe ask them to bake some pies/cakes etc using veg/fruit grown? It can raise quite a bit of money as people love home grown/made stuff. Just an idea for you anyway.
What great ideas, thank you! We are trying to raise money as a group so all ideas welcomeand some of the more canny members are exploring ways to apply for grants etc too. Watch this space!
It's been such a lovely sunny afternoon that we went for a smashing walk and I found a grubby 2p.... the first in ages...
Enjoy the sun everyone :cool2: xSealed Pot Challenge #012

House viewing is going well, although very tiring!! We have a second viewing booked for Tuesday and two other houses to look at. Want to get on with it and get out of rented but don't want to rush too much either....still lots to save. Now I have an exact moving fee target I need to go and update my siggy.
