Well done to all those trying to overcome their fears, I had a similar milestone yesterday which ill share so you know your not alone :D, I am currently battling a fear of leaving the house, not due to being scared of outside or people, my fear is of not being near loo's :o
Those of you who know me will know ive had terrible trouble with my health which includes IBS and im now so bad I panic about going anywhere that isnt within 10 minutes of the house and I dont know where the loo's are.

Anyway, as we are buying the new car we had to take the old car to the city (30 mins away) to be checked and priced for part ex, queue my panic of how long will we be there, what if I need to go, what if I get the tummy cramps halfway there . . . anyway (sorry a bit TMI there) no only did we go to the car showroom and spend 45 minutes having the car checked and talking to the salesman, we went into the city centre and spent a further 30 minutes visiting 4 of the shops on the strip :j :j Im nowhere near over the fear but it was nice to actually fight against it and go out :o

I was also rewarded for my attempt by a lovely 2p on one of the shops floors :D and today in Mr W where a further 1p was smiling up at me :D Throw in the £1 FB sale my pot is happy and I feel like ive accomplished something :D

    Morning everyone
A warm welcome to our newest members, have fun on here and enjoy saving.

((HUGS)) to all who need them

Well done to those of you who have tried to battle your phobias, good luck with winning your own personal battles XX

Still potting my daily £3 plus change, also potting road change found during walks to and from work.

LC2 sorry I missed you before you went, hope you have/had a fantastic holiday X

Sue tried to PM you the other day (my email won't let me in at the mo', doesn't recognise my log on or password!), spent ages typing, pressed the wrong button, lost the PM, then lost the will to live & nearly lashed the computer. Hope you T and the family are all OK XX

Well if the police go to next door any more I think they'll get an invite to Christmas dinner, they must spend more time there than in the police station!!!!!!

Have a great day everyone, stay safe & keep saving

Oh dear, sparky, what a nightmare for you :( This morning we had a police helicopter overhead for ages pursuing someone on the ground. We were told to lock our doors ( we don't normally worry too much about that) They've gone now so, hopefully, so has the criminal type they were after....

Just popped in to say that we have applied for a half plot on a local allotment :) We went to a meeting last night and funding is needed to turn a field into fertile land but we are on the list! I am sooo excited thinking of all the money we could save by growing our own veg. I know it won't happen until next year now but at least we are on a promise :D ( no, not THAT sort :rotfl::rotfl:) all we need are ideas to help raise the money needed to make it happen  Maybe I'll used this year's sealed pot money for plants & seeds next year. A massive 50p potted!

Have a lovely day all x

How exciting little_sweetie. An allotment is definitely worth the investment. In regards to raising money are you doing it as a group or individually? If as a group how about having a kind of fete? Everyone could donate some of the veg they have grown this year to sell plus I know there are always spare seeds around. How about collecting up everyone's spare seeds, and selling those? People who grow in pots etc don't want a full packet of seeds as they haven't got room so half a packet is ideal. If you know any good bakers maybe ask them to bake some pies/cakes etc using veg/fruit grown? It can raise quite a bit of money as people love home grown/made stuff. Just an idea for you anyway.

Please may I join too? Not a sealed pot, rather a sealed pink boot!(which I have just sellotaped up) I already put all the roadkill in, so it will be fun to share here. I'm saving up for Christmas, and currently have £13.52 in the pot.
