    Hi.
Well I am 4 months pregnant and I got married to my husband on Friday even though we dont live together right now. LONG story there. Anyway this is the money for our first Christmas as a family. I got a cheap jar and made a hole and I put £2.88 in change into it.

    Congratulations! :D

I've got nothing to pot today due to a NSD :D

    Welcome Indigowarrior

welcome to the thread thats nuttier than squirrel poop :rotfl:

as LC2 said, stick with us, we are the only 2 sane (and saintly) members of the entire thread and are needed to keep everyone else in line or it would be anarchy! now all these naughty lot will try to convince you that its actually us two causing all the trouble but that just shows how naughty and unruly they are :naughty::D

Congratulations on you marriage and new baby, I think we have a few on here expecting  we may have to start our own SP baby club :D:D

Come back often to see us and tell us everything that goes on in your life, we love good news and we're a good shoulder for bad news too :) most of all enjoy stuffing any pennies you can find into your pot, especially the all illusive road kill (nowt better than potting someone elses hard earned cash that they have thoughtlessly tossed away on the floor  thats also classed as a good deed, taking then out of the cold and rehoming them in the warm with some friends ;))

Thank You Sparky you Sweetheart.....I WILL think about going to NYC next January and being there and being able to take lots of Photo's (I'm a bit of a keen Photographer!!)....I'm already looking at some Tours that I can take....

Nothing to Report here with regards to adding anything....But I'm going Shopping later on so hopefully will have something to add then...

    Morning DH
If you're into big band music try swing46 we went there the first time we went to NY after we'd renewed our wedding vows and the food, dancing & music was amazing, just check their web site calendar for what's on. It's a bit expensive but well worth the experience

    http://www.swing46.com

Also Ellen's Stardust diner is a great evening out, the waiting on staff are all trying to get their break on Broadway, so to supplement their income they wait on & sing between serving customers.

    http://www.ellensstardustdiner.com

The Rockerfeller sunlight & stars tour is also very good.

    http://www.topoftherocknyc.com/

The New York Fire Department Museum is really interesting and has a dedicated area for the 343 fire fighters who lost their lives on 911. The museum is right by SoHo

    www.nycfiremuseum.org/

The 911 memorial is also well worth a visit but you have to book tickets in advance to get through the security

They all have web sites and you can take virtual tours on some of them.

    That's Brilliant Sparky...Thank you very much!! :D

I've also been looking at a Website called "Viator" and they do some Great Tours as well....I know it sounds really sad but I'm a big fan of the Sex and the City Series so want to do one of those Tours....

I've been to NYC before so I've done most of the Big Sites like the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty....but might do them again after all I haven't been to NYC since about 1999...

On Viator they have a Photography Tour where a Professional Photographer will take you round and show you how to get the best Shots.....so I'm looking forward to that...

The main problem I'm having is that I don't know how much it's all going to Cost....I've seen a Flight/Hotel Package for £600 for a Week which is GREAT.....but then I dont' know how much for spends which is why I'm budgeting for £2000 in total...which is probably Waaaaaay too much...Any advice would be great Sparky...xxx

Crimson, I am quite possibly being dim, but why are you paying someone to pay you?! Or did I just read it wrong?
What a lovely Dad you have !!!

But why are paying someone to pay you ?? Or have I read that wrong ???

They sort out all my tax and stuff. So the companies i work for pay an agency, they take a cut and pass the money on then the umbrella people take £28, then take out tax, national insurance and employers national insurance then pay me the rest. Its very complicated i know lol

    DH
We take about £2400 for two of us for a week and can easily spend it, the best thing to do is go to the Edison Hotel diner for breakfast (about $10-$15) depending on what you have then fill up at lunch time in one of the many diners, wher you pay for the weigh inside the box and they have a really great selection of hot & cold foods. Also the tour bus takes you the longest way around New York but it is so easy to walk everywhere, just take a couple iof pairs of comfortable walking shoes :D

Whereabout is the hotel you're looking at, because if it's far away from Times Square then you're away from it all. ;)

The Hotel I was looking at was just around the Corner from Times Square....so I'm glad to know that that's a good place to be....

I'm hoping to find a hotel that does a decent Breakfast....and then I'll just find somewhere for Lunch...

So you think that £2000 should do me for a Week then? There's just me....
