When I first read this I wondered why you were paying £28 a week for an umbrella!! I really need to stop skim reading

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

This made me laugh so much.

Well, us derby folk throw our umbrellas away once wet. Wouldn't want them ruining ones suede seats in the car. (i actually have suede seats too haha)

Afternoon folks, had my glass of wine last night, the sun is shining this afternoon, and I knew I would feel a bit better (though still skint, flipping car, etc) today! Thanks for the sympathy and understanding ;)

A more positive day; got twenty pounds for the cot that has been taking up space in our garage these past five years, plus a ten-pound gift card from Tesco by way of apology for the snail in the bag of frozen peas (though still trying to persuade kids it's OK to eat peas and the snail was just an unlucky one-off...) :o

Crimson, I am quite possibly being dim, but why are you paying someone to pay you?! Or did I just read it wrong?

Off to fat club this evening; let's hope my gym sessions this week have had a positive effect as I don't want any doom and gloom today!!

    Enjoy your evening, everybody!

Lindylou - A snail?! That would put me off for a while :o

I haven't paid for anything in cash for a couple of days so I've had no change to put in my pot.

Don't do no kicking lol. I just thrash it and it knows i'm in a bad mood and behaves a little better lol. Would love to get a bike but then i couldn't take people out and i think my dad would have kittens. Sometimes i have to park quite far from my house and carry my laptops through the streets. When i have them my dad always asks to follow me home in his car so he can walk me to the door in case anything happens. He's 74, i'd be more worried about him and just hand my laptops over if anything were to happen but i'd never tell him that, bless him.

I just managed to save myself £28 a week :) Because i started this new job, my umbrella company thing were charging me £28 every Wednesday to pay me one job then another £28 every Friday to pay me another. I asked them to keep Wednesdays money and pay be both on a Friday and they said yes so now i only have to pay them once :) I could save an extra £6 a week but then i would just get paid whenever they feel like it and not on a set day and my poor spreadsheet would never cope! lol. However, when one of my contracts run out i will no longer save the £28 as i wouldn't pay it so it is just a short term gain lol.

What a lovely Dad you have !!!

But why are paying someone to pay you ?? Or have I read that wrong ???

Well the shopping trip went as expected!!

He only wanted football tops cos they are comfortable!!

Of course they were expensive who needs to pay such stupid prices I suggested looking on Ebay well I get loads from there. Oh no I need to try them on. He sounded just like a woman of course we ended up getting absolutely nothing.

Came home looked on ebay a really lovely one BNWT have got it for £16.60 . He then wants to know what will happen if it doesn't fit? (I will make it fit even if I have to cut it up the sides and insert elastic :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:) What if it doesn't come in time (We aren't going for 3 weeks it could probably walk here) we will have to wait in everyday now (Our postman always leaves it with a neighbour but would be able to get it through the letterbox how big does he think it is)

    He is driving me mad!!!

Anyway potted £2 x 3 so not too bad a day!!
