£9.73 gone into various pots today.

Not sure how often I'll be potting now - start a new permanent job on Monday, so I am going from weekly pay to monthly pay. Hopefully will be able to pot a little bit between now and then.

Congratulations on your new job Delilahh :T

    Welcome back nu1isit? I've missed you :j

Well I'm off to the wilds of Dorset tomorrow to start walking the SW coast path with all my layers on! So I may have a little to pot when we get back, hope so, but it won't be much as I'll need lots of cups of tea to warm me up every few miles :rotfl: Must pack my flask...

Keep up the good work everyone and stay warm and safe :)

A lovely handful of change in the pot today after a trip to the post office :D

Am also saving money as DS has been told he will be walking himself home from school again so I dont have to take the big gas guzzling, non heater working family car each day to get DD but can take the nice mini, toasty warm smart car instead :D Cant believe how much money ive spent in fuel these last 4 weeks just cos he'd broken his arm so had to have a lift to and from school each day

Welcome back Nu1isit :D:D wondered where you went, we miss you so when your not here :D

Ahh LC2, see I dont have the problem of use by dates as my 3 dustbins eat everything long before anything goes off ;) made G/F chocolate cookies on saturday and they've nearly all disappeared, plus half the chocolate cake I made (and cant even blame DS for that as he cant eat it!)

Not a happy bunny today, have been deaf in the right ear for the last few weeks, then I developed conjunctivitis last week on top and after 3 days of sore throat, finally hve a look n the mirror and ive got tonsillitis! grrr, go away bugs, I dont want you!!

Just £1 potted to start off the next "hundred".

    £201+ now.

Hope the weather picks up this week!!

I must have missed you getting to the £200, Lynsey, but you've saved an amazing amount, VERY well done you!!!! :T BTW, bitter weather is forecast all week!!

Ah, but we have to be one up on our DCs & DGCs, little_sweetie, after all they're nearly always one or more up on us! :(

Just stopping by to say £5 potted from a scratchcard win.....I don't buy them very often but gave into temptation this week because I was feeling lucky :j. That's the first paper money potted - hopefully the first of many! Found £20 in the washing machine today from DS's shirt....felt it was just too much to pot so I've given it back to him :A

Excellent, MissE!!! :T You didn't hear this from me, but, you could have split DH's £20 note and potted half and put tother half back!! :rotfl:

Well done on your savings, Delilahh, all the best for the new job as well. Maybe you could take out a monthly sum to pot. I know I would,

Oh skilly, it must be freezing doing a job like that, best of luck to you, though I guess you could have finished it by now?

Aha...at last, nu1isit?!!!! :j It's wonderful to see you back again, such good news that your DW will be starting up her own business too. All best wishes to her, you too!

Great news, Ruth, though what a pile was taken out first?!!!! Good to hear you had a lovely night out with it too.

I got paid my overtime today, plus I accrued some change throughout the day, and then I emptied out all the change hanging around in my bag, from the last week. The grand total £42.78!! So the dilemma then occurred. Now normally, before joining this thread I would have thought that it was far too much to put in the pot and that it was better off in my purse and then it would no doubt be frittered away, on who knows what!!

So......in the sealed pot it has all gone. I hasten to add that it is unlikely that such a huge sum will go in it all at one time ever again, but I feel good that I made the right decision today about the £42.78.

That is fantastic, Nell, you most certainly made the right decision and if you've never saved like that before - then congratulations!!! :T
Oh Rosy, it's absolutely bitter here too...and so windy! Be careful not to get blown off the cliffs for goodness sake!! Take good care of yourself.

It's trying to snow down here, folks, and is better!!! Do keep warm, everyone, and....stay well.

Oh you do make me laugh, jakes-mum and LC2! :D You're like a rite of passage for all newbies, wondering what on earth they've got themselves into until they get used to the banter... a tonic, so you are!

Just a quickie to say 40p change from leeks potted today! A frugal yet yummy and warming leftover vegetable soup is in the offing... just what's needed as it's brass monkeys out!

Enjoy your Monday evening everyone and wrap up and keep warm! ;)
