A very warm welcome, nell36. It's lovely to have you with us. biggrin.gif Enjoy yourself saving and join in the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 5 of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge.

Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away. ;)

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

Hello gain, everyone, so terribly sorry not to have been on over the last few days, but I've been quite poorly. Still, I'm back with you now and it's a real tonic to see you all still saving so very well. :)
found 45p whilst waiting for the bus.. People were thinking I was crazy picking it up lol.. The change was spread apart a bit in the same area.. Didn't go in the pot though.. Ended up buying a chocolate bar!

Oh themstarrynights, a perfect chance to save a good bit extra - and you blew it??! Better luck in potting it next time. ;)

Sorry to hear about the IBS, jakes-mum, it's very common though and my lass has it. As Rosy says, stay away from all acids!

It's so lovely to see you back, LC 2, to know you really enjoyed it all too. Sad to hear about the funerals, especially the poor friend who suffered the brain hemorrhage. Enjoy precious time with those little treasures of yours. BTW, a shiny gold star for that lovely welcome to nell36. :staradmin

Are you still going strong, Susanne? Brilliant news if so.

I'm glad your Aunt's funeral is over with, dinglefoot, and you're now coping better.

Super news of your pay rise, Happybeingme, great plans for it too. :D

Oh dear, little_sweetie, still having problems with your fridge/freezer then; what happened after the time was up?

How did the scan go, ETO? I hope no one put their foot in it and told you the sex!

My mum says grand children are fantastic, much better than children, lol! I try not to take it personally ;)

Sadly your Mum's right, Cinders, though it's more a case of us having more time to enjoy them. I adore all 5 of mine (6 - 16), much more time to watch them..and remember what they did and when which seemed to whirl by with our own two. I'd love to have it all over again so make the most of every day!

Looking forward to hearing about your pots contents, mishmogs.

All the best on getting to that Target by the end of the month, Lynsey.

I'd dearly love to have been a fly on the wall during that 'laughter yoga' session, wiggysgirl. :rotfl:

Well done on the weight of your pot, shinner, though I haven't a clue what 1150grams is against lbs & ozs! Once you sort out a Target let me know and I'll pop it on the 1st page alongside your No. I've just seen your latest post, great savings!!
still potting daily £2 and any change I get ( I can feel a debt free Christmas coming on!)

Oh, I sincerely hope your wish of a debt-free Christmas comes to reality, getting-there-slowly, fingers crossed. :grinheart

Have patience, EchoDelta, and keep saving every penny possible and you too will have savings to be proud of. 10p is still good and you don't need too many to make a £1, patience.

I understand what you mean about not having so much as last year, Ruth, but you did buy your car etc....ooops and now need to pay out more on it!! :( Still plenty of time to save..isn't there?!!

Hello, although I've not been popping in here, I've been popping money in my pot regularly! All my VAT refunds go in there, plus anything I 'earn' with coupons, vouchers or selling stuff (old kids clothes usually). My DH thinks I'm a bit daft but I don't think he'll be moaning when I open the pot later this year

Good to see you, gien, and very good savings! Oh, your DH is really going to regret thinking your daft, I bet he thinks differently come November! :j

Did you manage to finish your greenhouse off, skilly? I hope so as they're not always easy to assemble.

Hi sparky. So sorry to hear your neighbours are still trying their best to be infantile - and succeeding! How pathetic. It's a shame they haven't got something better to do with their lives. Please pass J my love, sympathy too for what she has to put up with those morons!

It's wonderful to see so much potting going on, everyone. Stay strong and keep it up.

Have a lovely day, folks, and save well.

Hello everyone, sorry Ive not been on here recently but having a rough time at the mo.

My youngest (4yrs) was recently diagnosed as high functioning autistic, which with Mossys advice, I seem to be dealing with. Then last week my eldest (12yrs) had an 'assessment' at school and they think he has either ADD or dyspraxia...why it hasnt been noticed until now is beyond me, but hey ho!!! I now get to wait for another referral to the educational psychologist :(
On top of all that, Hubby has decided he cant deal with 'it' any more and has moved out..******!!!! So that leaves me to deal with 3 children and all that entails on my own. It must be nice to be able to walk away:mad:

Anyway, despite all that, Im determined to keep potting and have put at least £10 in my tin over the last week :D

Hope you dont mind all the details but really needed to offload tonight.

    Keep potting peeps :)

All that and still a big cheesy smile for the £10 gone into your pot. You are a fantastic lady! **BIG BIG HUGS** for you and your kiddies. He may be able to walk away but its better to be able to hold your head high in my opinion.

There are currently 4086 ears on this forum (provided no one has had any unfortunate accidents) I'm sure there will always be one around you can lend should you ever need to vent :D

    Hi BECCAH

You know we are all here for you. As for you husband well it's easy to walk away but in the end he still has to deal with his conscience I'm assuming he has one. Unfortunately or rather fortunately mums can't just walk can they?

I'm sorry about your 12 year old but you are doing such a good job with your little one I'm sure you will manage fine. Make sure you are getting all the support financially as well as this will help you to be able to concentrate on your little ones.

Remember we are all here all 4086 !!! ears as Crimson Addict says !! so make use of us

    Lots of (((HUGS)))

I really admire your spirit and determination, Beccah, when you are obviously facing such a tough time at the moment. I hope you will be able to save a little back to treat yourself too on 28th November. Sounds like you will need a little pampering by then... take care xx
