Don't take this as medical advice but I thought I'd share it as I had a similar situation. It was suspected as IBS although I don't recall taking any medication for it just told to add extra fibre to my diet!
In the end I did an elimination diet and then slowly introduced food types back in to my diet and was able to see what I was reacting so badly to. It turned out to be yeast and MSG. Which as you can imagine is in a lot of things. I stopped eating food with those things in for a few years (I don't think you necessarily have to do it for that long but at the time I thought I had developed a full blown allergy rather than an intolerance). However, it gave my body time to rest from those foods and so I was able to reintroduce them into my diet fairly successfully. If I go mad on eating something then my body will tend to 'dump it' fairly quicklybut if I'm sensible then I can eat whatever I like.
It might be worth looking into an elimination diet, there's lot of information about it online.
Thank you for the advice, I have sort of looked into elimination diets before but not gone any further. I'm a vegetarian and a very fussy eater as it is, so I'm kind of worried about what would be left that I actually would eatI'm fed up of being permanently bloated though, so it may be the way to go. Even if it really is IBS, it would probably still help me as I would see what things were causing it to really flare up.
I'm pleased that you were able to reintroduce things to your diet. :)There's some foods that I love so much that it'd make me miserable if I couldn't eat them.
I've managed to pot 51p todaySPC '21 #0750 -
Evening potters all; enjoying the rugby?! (I have escaped and will be having a small story reading marathon with DD in a minute...)
Walked to farmers' market with said small DD this morning with twenty squids in purse; came back with nothing!Well, except the three lovely two pound coins for the cow pot and 8p for the sealed pot, but no note any more, for sure! Doesn't take much to spend it, but we went late and got bargains on posh bread and charcuterie, so worth it for a treat
Shame we got caught in the pouring rain, then hail, coming back though
Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone; keep warm, well and happy; hugs for those in need xSPC No. 104 (oh no I've lost my magic 2000!)

Evening all, hope all are well.
Not a great week potting, only potted twice this week due to being frugal. Same next week also, so see how it goes.
£4.20 potted today.
£181+ potted so far and still on target to reach £200 by the end of March.
